What has John Henry heard that the rest of us aren't aware of that makes him think Martinez is the guy who can get us back into the champions league.

the fact that they are even considering him proves that they know fook all.
he is a yes man that will fit into there new structure for a couple of years and try to build something in the process and then in a couple of years when we have a stadium and extra revenue then he will be replaced with someone else to finish the job.
they are only bothered about this club following the money to the cl and if league performances are the precedent that they have set then i cant see why they think this man is right for the job.

Sorry but on what basis are you claiming that Martinez is a yes man. I agree he is inexperienced and he isn't my no1 choice but I don't understand the need to slag him off. He's done a very good job at Wigan and have them playing very well, certiainly towards the end of the season.

Also why do you think FSG want a yes man, I'm not aware of any major arguments between FSG and kenny, although they would have been more than entitled to after the ***** up that was the Suarez affair.

What worries me is the Swansea guy even having been approached, we're pitching the job at completely the wrong level of candidate. Its stadium time because no serious player is going to risk coming to LIverpool with a Billy No Mates manager no ones heard of. CL footy... not in my lifetime.

Exactly, I think in the Echo today, Ian Ayre states that "the owners are looking for the highest calibre candidate, and will do everything possible to get that person.  It sounding more like desperation on the Owners part to me. "highest Calibre" wtf are they even thinking about the likes of Martinez and Lambert. Whoever is advising them needs to have an ear bashing, oh hang on a minute, they've sacked everyone that could provide sound advice.......

they're doing it right in my book, by drawing up a list of managers they want and interviewing them one by one.

The LFC job is still one of the best in world football, and it's clear that we're not short of candidates. Let the board do their stuff, and we'll have a new gaffer within 2 weeks.

chill, rbg mate. i know you're gutted about daggers, but lets see what they come up with and who comes in before we pass judgement. they still dug us out of a hole not long back and deserve the benefit of the doubt for a while more.
