Indy Kaila, one of the better ITK's on there, hope this clears it up

That’s the same guy who said that deals for Walcott and Huntelaar were done and we wanted Torres back. He just has a scatter gun approach and is widely discredited.

It’s more than likely that there is some level of interest in Sneijder and we have had discussions with his representatives as The Echo and The Times have reported so. And Rodgers will normally dismiss interest in a player if asked (like he did with Huntelaar) but when asked about interest in Sneijder after yesterday’s game he replied “No comment”.

Once the wages come down to a level that would make it interesting to us I’m sure a host of other clubs, including those in the Champions League, will want him. And if he is willing to take such a huge pay cut then it makes more sense to just accept Inter Milan’s offer and stay with a club more likely to challenge for honours and make the Champions League next season.

I reckon he is past the point of no return with Milan

Galatasaray is an attractive proposition. They won the league last season and are top right now, and are in the last 16 of the Champions League. He’ll get a big salary and a huge bonus scheme plus he’ll only have to pay 10-20% tax on his salary opposed to the 45% if he moves to the Premier League. Turkey is becoming an increasingly popular destination for footballers as there is a lot of money to be made.

Sneijder to Galatasary it seems, just missed out on that one but then again hes chosen money
over Premiership football.

I understand Turkey is attractive financially but usually for over 30s on a last contract but this lad
is not at that point yet, taken the easy option, cruise in that league and pick up good money.

I would have liked him here but on the flipside there was a nagging doubt why none of the bigger
hitters made a move on him.

Well if it's true that Sneijder has signed for Galatassaraay then he's not the type of player we should be after.

At 28 he should be in the prime of his career, not moving to a third rate league like Turkey.  He said his next move wouldn't be about money, but I'm sorry if he goes there it is absolutely and totally for the money!!

If he had lowered his wage demands I'm sure there would have been a lot of bigger clubs in better leagues offering him contracts.

They did last summer, but he turned them down because they refused his wage demands.

Sneijder can thread the ball through to our old boys Albert Riera and Milan Baros who are no
doubt lighting up the Turkish league  :D

Rumour is that we have now moved into over-drive to sign Coutinho from Inter instead.

Bid has been reported varying from 9 to 12 million. I think Inter paid 15 for him only 2 seasons ago when he was only 19yo.

What are you thoughts? I really don't think he has been given a chance at Inter so would be interested if he can make it in England.

He would add another attacking dimension to our side and is in the mould of players FSG is interested in signing.

All other English clubs pale into insignificance!"

Wesley Sneijder: Galatasaray agree deal for Inter Milan man

Galatasaray say they have agreed a deal to sign Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan.
Inter accepted Galatasaray's bid for the 28-year-old almost two weeks ago.

Now they have finally agreed personal terms with the player and the transfer can be completed after he completes a medical on Monday.

"It will be amazing and the atmosphere will be nice, I can't wait to go there and play my first game," Sneijder told the club's official website.

"I will make the Galatasaray fans very proud and very happy. I'm looking forward to meeting them and making a good life together."

Sneijder had been keen on a move to the Premier League, according to his agent Soren Lerby, but a serious offer from England never materialised.

A statement on Galatasaray's website read: "The transfer of Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan has been agreed.

"The conditions of the deal will be made public and the player will sign the contract after health checks [his medical]."

Sneijder, who was strongly linked with Manchester United in the summer of 2011,  has not played for Inter since 25 September because of a dispute over his contract.

In November, the Italian side informed Sneijder he would not play for them until he agreed a significant cut in his salary.

The player refused, meaning he has been on the sidelines despite being fit for the past two months.

Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009 and helped them win a historic treble of the Serie A title, Champions League and Italian Cup treble in his first season.

He was also the inspiration for the Netherlands as they reached the 2010 the World Cup final.

Not often I comment on things such as this, but what a funt....regardless of what team you support, the opportunity to play at a club like us and you take it, end of. His missus is the one making the decision though methinks and she wasn't up for it....either way, happy to miss out on that type of attitude but will admit to being disappointed as it could have worked well for us. Donkeh!
