6 Million makes this a very nice move.  I have other LB's rated higher , but for 6 mill, I'll take it.

Out of 10 where would you rate him?

I don't see many people who think he's that good, I have no idea.

He's more in between a defensive full back and an attacking full back.  He's not like Baines or Cole where he gets involved in almost every attack, but he doesn't just sit back either.  £6 million would be a steal for a player like that in my opinion.

I'd rather have Baines or maybe Cissokho, but at that price it's hard to say no.  He's much better than anything we've got, so at least for a couple season I think he'd really improve the squad.

What are NUFC playing at...

Joey Barton let go on a free and now Enrique for £6M (a steal at that price).

If I were Kenny I would take a punt on Barton. Move Aquilani on and if it was a straight fight between Barton and Meireles I may be tempted to cash in on Meireles.

How old is Trezeguet now? He's available on a free as he doesn't have a club.

I'd take him as some experienced backup provided his wages aren't too high.

Trezeguet has had his day. Go for Forlan on loan instead!

Read that we're interested in Shawcross.

Yep

Liverpool FC lining up move for Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross
by Richard Buxton. Published Tue 02 Aug 2011 10:37, Last updated: 2011-08-02

Liverpool are set to renew their interest in Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross.

Kenny Dalglish is looking at the centre-back, who was also targeted by predecessors Rafael Benitez and Roy Hodgson, in a bid to address his defensive problem before the season starts.

Last night's 3-3 draw with Valarenga was the fifth pre-season friendly where the Reds have conceded three goals and Dalglish is understood to be wanting to draft in the 23-year-old as an alternative to Scott Dann, with Birmingham City's valuation far exceeding what the club are willing to pay.

Reports from Staffordshire this morning suggest that Chester-born Shawcross, who was once on Manchester United's books, will be the subject of a £12million bid from Anfield.

But Liverpool's efforts are likely to prove futile after the Potters have continually warned interested parties that their skipper will be going nowhere this summer.

It has also been claimed that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would have first refusal on his former prodigy if or when Shawcross leaves the Britannia Stadium.

He would cost more than Dann though
