look at the Mancs tho, no major signings for a while. Arguably two major sales in Tevez and Ronaldo and still winning titles

Manure don't need to strengethen as much as we do, they finished light years ahead of us last season. Rooney, Hernandez and Berbatov can be considered in the same class as Aguero.......Rodellaga is the kind of signing we would have been making in 2001 not 2011, not good enough and just another waste of money.

If Arsenal sign Mata for £15m I'll be kicking off like. That's a steal!!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

To compare berbagay to Aguero is beyond laughable...  Chicharito is probably most like him, and Rooney's been on the down.  They had their core of players for a long time and that's why they've done so well. VDS, Vidic and Ferdianand, Giggs and Scholes.  The experienced players win them titles.  They've lost VDS and Scholes, so let's see how they cope.

Berbatov banged in 23 league goals consecutively over 2 seasons for the Spuds at around Aguero's age, he has gone to the Mancs sat on their bench and averaged about 15 goals a season for the last three years.

Why the hate he does his job and does it well?

He is closer to Aguero's level of scoring than Hugo f**king Rodallega who has scored 22 goals in 3 seasons. Something that both Aguero and Berbatov would be able to do in ONE season if they got as many games at Wigan.

Anyway you missed my point altogether I think with following:

Suarez, Carroll, Ngog vs Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov you can clearly see there is a gulf that we need to catch up on. Something which Rodallega will not fill but the likes of Aguero will.

you wont want to read [url=http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Arsenal-set-for-talks-sign-15m-Juan-Mata-from-Valencia-which-would-clear-way-sell-Cesc-Fab
regas-Barcelona-article777078.html]this[/url] then!

Arsenal were last night closing in on a £15million deal for Juan Mata – paving the way for Cesc Fabregas to go to Barcelona.

Fabregas will not be involved in this weekend’s Emirates Cup, a clear sign that the Gunners are becoming resigned to losing him.

But that blow is likely to be softened by the signing of Valencia’s exciting winger Mata

Versatile Mata, 23, can play wide or as an attacking midfielder and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes the deal will be a major boost for his squad

Sorry to Russian doll here, but, do you really think we had a chance at signing Kun?  Would you think it's a good idea to sign him to 200,000 per week?  And even if we offered those wages, would he go to a club with NO European Football?

Having said that, Would having Rodallaga really be all that bad?  Would he give us depth up front?  Keep in mind he's been at Wigan during those three years and playing out wide, with nowhere near the service he'd get with our midfield.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Haha... Berbatov is the ultimate poacher... he's the only one I know of that poaches better than Kuyt.  He score 5 goals in 1 game last season and they were all tap-ins within the 6 yard box.  He doesn't score many nice goals, he taps the ball in.  He's not a flair player... He's like Kuyt...

And no, he wouldn't score 20 or even 15 or 10 goals for wigan because wigan couldn't set the goal up on a silver platter for him like he gets at manure..  He'd be stranded for very long periods of time.

Comparing our strikers, I'd rather have Suarez than any of them.  If Carroll turns into the player we believe he can then we'll have the best strike partnership in the league.  eggnogg ruins everything tho, and as of now, yes they have better strikers.  I don't rate Rooney as near as well as I used to tho.  He's nowhere near the player he was a few season ago.  I'd rather have Chicharito than any player on the manure squad right now tho.  What a :censored: steal that turned out to be.

Tho I couldn't agree more on Rodellega... I've never rated him.  Didn't even start for Colombia in Copa America.  He's just not that good.

Berbatov ? The ManUtd player ? Not a flair player andvery similar to Kuyt

Gotta be fcking kidding me !

I think he has more flair and a better touch than ANY OTHER PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE bar none !

Could be faulted for his work ethic perhaps or missing some easy chances. Wouldnt really call him a poacher myself because i think he does his best work playing in a forward partnership and coming deep to help with the buildup but anyways... Hernandez is what i would call a poacher ...

On the comparison of our forward lines, I think its ridiculous to suggest we have better forwards... Rooney-Berbatov-Hernandez.. Imo at prest the only player comparable to the three in our forward line is Suarez... Add to that the fact that they have the likes of Owen and Welbeck further down the pecking order and its a no contest..

Anyways... on the Aguero thing, he was obviously always going to go to City... Great player and I think he has potential and the work ethic to get even better... Him and Silva will be the best attacking partnership in the league in my opinion next season especially if ManCity decide to give Silva a more central role as expected...

Tbh, we seem to be finished in the market.
I wasn't expecting us to get everything done in the one window but I was hoping we'd have sold a few and maybe signed one or two more.

Still think we could do with a LB, CB and maybe a back up poacher type striker.

i would rather see rumours of the deadwood, hang on type players leaving at the minute to be honest. partly because its holding us back from signings new quality players, plus it would take the wage budget down and give us more money to help attract the better players we require.

so come on rumour mill get them flowing about, jovanovic, poulsen, insue, cole, degen, maxi, all leaving
