All this ,we've lost out on this player and that player bollox is just that bollox . It is only rumor that we are in for certain players or have been . There's no proof we really have . Only Kenny and comolli know who we want and we'll find out when it happens . The rest is just rumor and must be taken with a pinch of salt until the facts say otherwise , no matter who posts the rumor .

Citeh's squad has not hit the 300 mark. If they don't start selling soon they'll have to use the  mainstand as the bench.

Aston Villa reject second Liverpool FC bid for Stewart Downing

Aston Villa have rejected a second offer from Liverpool for Stewart Downing.

An initial £12million bid for the winger had been turned down by the Midlands club, which the Reds have since followed up with an improved yet unsuccessful offer of £15million.

Alex McLeish, who had previously remained confident of retaining the 26-year-old's services, appears resigned to losing with Downing understood to be preparing to submit a transfer request.

Liverpool remain hopeful that a deal can be reached by offering striker David Ngog as a makeweight in the deal but, having allowed Ashley Young to join Manchester United for £16million last month, Villa are holding firm on their £20million asking price.

But they will be disappointed by Liverpool's third and final offer, believed to stand at no more than £18million, which is expected to be tabled next week.

Juan Mata according to the press reports from this morning
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”
