Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Wickhams not one that concerns me. We need to improve the first team. What does concern me is that if he was a target, how on earth have we let him slip through the net and opt for sunderland instead?

I hope we aren't being complacent as its arguably cost us a few times in the past.

The deadwoods also got me worried, how can't we ship them out?

July had best be a busy one, can't say i want us to still be pissin about in August when the seasons started
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Good points mate.

We don't want to get silly BUT fk the deadwood, if we can't get rid of them then we have to swallow it, push them into the reserves and forget them.

In the meantime we have to push on and that means INVESTMENT in better players.

I know we splashed out on some (panic ? you know who I mean) signings in January but that was on the back of the money we got for Torres, since then I've seen little sign that our new owners are prepared to go big in the tranfer market.

Meanwhile look at what our rivals are doing

we wil struggle to get rid of the likes of cole and jovanovic with them being on big wages, if they dont get that anywhere else there is nothing stoppin them from being bell ends and digging their heels in , run down ther contract then leave for free. im starting to get annoyed with this transfer window, mostly because i had high hopes and they arent being met.

Thats whats really bothering me.

Players aren't forming a line around the block to join us.

Don't know what carrots the new management are offering but apparently it's not enough

Sadly, having I played for LIVERPOOL on your CV no longer seems to be enough.

I think the litmus test is the first couple of weeks in July. We'll soon know if we are going to see the squad improvement we need. I'm frustrated at the pace things seem to be moving at, but recognise that until July we don't really know anything for sure.

It is possible that we need to get the wage bill down before we buy, but once we've done that there will be money to spend.

If we get a CB and a LB who walk into the first XI and a good wide player, then I'll be very, very happy with that, whatever else happens.

Agreed Woof - my sentiments exactly. Pre-season starts on Monday .. are the players we want gonna wait for us to pull- out- our fingers , or wil they return to their clubs..

Too slow.. we are being linked with the sam players by all the media.. and yet no movement. It's like drawin fookin teeth ... oouuuuuuuch !

mates just said he was speaking to a lad who used to be a player from round here.
He is now an agent.
He claimed that Kenny had 2 lists of players - one players that we would leak to the press that we are not in for.
The other the actual players we want.

Probably a load of sh!te but the speed in which the suarez carroll and henderson deals where done you never know.

I am honestly not concerned Zara.

It is still early days yet, pre season training does start Monday but i believe we will bring in players that will excite us and improve the team and squad.

Calm down Zara, did you not read JH's tweets earlier? The signings are coming, just need to wait..... a little longer.

Poulsen, Jova, NGog, Kyrgiakos, Degen, EL Zhar, Aquilani, Cole, Insua and even Maxi!!!

Interesting post because everyone knows Citeh have a coachload of players to get rid of yet they haven't moved anyone either which suggests that there isn't a market. So our inability to sell is holding back our ability to buy - simple as.

Sunderland buying Wickham was canny business, they sold Henderson for 30 then bought back exactly the same prospect for 8 plus add ons. They'll sell him again in 2 years for 30. Good business.

Apart from that, there is feck all going on so whats all the stress?

Go knock one off and calm down.
