Very easy to simply say we should sell a player if he refuses to sign a new contract. Exactly what do you do when the player refuses to accept any available offers and would prefer to run his contract down and go on a free and get a massive signing on fee from the likes of RM or Barca. Literally everything is stacked in favour of the players. Agents control these matters and it is extremely naive to suggest that the easy answer is to sell a player if he refuses to sign a new contract. So according to you we should have sold Salah for £150m to the Saudis as new contractual terms could not be agreed and we would have missed out on his incredible year that went a very long way towards us winning the the league title. FSG showed some tremendous business acumen by refusing to let him go.

Yeah right. Business acumen my behind. 1st of all they had NOTHING to do with Salah staying as that is down to the fotball people at the club. Doubt FSG even knows a single player by name playing fro the club. And NOONE saw Salah having a season like he had the END. And Konate seems to want to go to PSG and I am sure we could work out a deal with them in the summer if we wanted to.

Given that all you have ever done is criticise FSG in a somewhat child like manner I wouldn’t have expected you to give them any credit for anything. To suggest that the owners had nothing to do with the refusal of a £150m transfer is futile. And yes you are right nobody could have predicted the amazing season that Mo had which makes the brave decision to keep him and miss out on an £150m even more impressive. Let’s face it you have done nothing but accuse FSG of outlandish greed for as long as they have been at the club. Surely if that was the case they would have taken the £150m rather than taking a chance on a 30 year old? The deal for Wirtz if it goes through doesn’t really fit with the haters criticism of FSG either !!
