I'm guessing FSG are gonna use the excuse of Slot needing to fully evaluate the Squad as to why we're standing still in the transfer window.

Arsenal are once again making big moves in the window to close the gap on City, they've just signed Calafiori to strengthen a already strong defence.

If we stand still in another big transfer window, then all our hard work over the last 8 years will be wasted and we'll slowly go back to being a club struggling to get in the top 4.

I honestly believe we should sell VVD and Salah and start a new page. There might be a drop in quality but in the long term we can build a great team as Klopp did. Arsenal are already a stable team and are strengthening, we are a team full of uncertainty with an new manager and with Mo, VVD and Trent all being evasive on signing then I think we need to be proactive. We don’t do it this year then we lose all three for nothing. New manager owes them nothing, they don’t commit they should go. It harder to teach older players new methods.

Klopp had a loyalty to his players and why he told everyone he was leaving in November, it wasn’t for the supporters and it is why those three haven’t signed yet. I guess they might want to see how it will be before committing but that is not good enough. Loyalty to the team, not manager.

We either sort those contracts now or we sell them now, we simply cannot afford any other option.

But what if it makes financial sense!   I've always maintained our policy is just wheeling & dealing with the end goal of spending as little as you can.

People are delusional if they think those 3 players are going to sign new contracts. It's bascially August and 5 months before they can sign a pre contract with any club. If they wanted to sign they'd done that already. FSG won't spend a penny if all those 3 leaves for free next summer. How the F are we going to replace them?
Absolute shambles if they aren't sold before the window closes.

Sell both Mo and Virgil and try to keep Trent. Trent is from Liverpool and is 4/5 years younger, he may sign an extension but Mo and VVD want nothing more than to go on a free and have one last extra fat payday. Klopp would have allowed them that since they served him well and he is loyal to his players, Slot owes them nothing though and neither does the club. Sell them and get as much as you can and reinvest in the first team. It’s a pivotal moment!

I also worry a little about older players not accepting new methods and turning toxic.

I think the club will look to keep things as stable as possible for Slots 1st year so will probably allow all 3 to go next season for free. Very silly to let Trents contract get this low anyway and he will choose Madrid if he has the choice. Why wouldn't he. The other two's best days are behind them so if the chance is there to get decent money then I say go for it.

Reading earlier we turned down bids for Endo. Apparently we will sell if we get what we paid back instead of taking a 4 to 6 mil loss.

That is SUCH short term thinking. Really? Letting all those 3 walk for nothing would devastate the club. In today's market, how much would it cost to get in 3 such players. Minimum 150 million I reckon and FSG won't spend anything close to that. If we can't compete with those 3 how the F will it look without them?
Gross mismanagement if they choose this path...

To be fair to Arnie this situation is nothing to do with him, this is something he's inherited. If the worst does happen and they all leave we can still field a competitive team. We still have the likes of Alisson, Luis Diaz, Jota, Nunez, Mac10, Slobo, Konate etc etc plus the rapidly improving Gakpo, Quansah, Bradley etc so we are not a complete busted flush plus im sure we'll buy someone if they do all leave.
As good as Trent is im not sure where i'd play him if i was Arnie anyway, i think Bradley is a better all round fullback and i dont think Trent puts enough of a shift in to warrant being part of a 3-man midfield, Gareth Southgate clearly thought the same. in fact i'd go as far as to say Trent looks disinterested [or maybe distracted] to me and has done since the likes of Hendo and Milner left. Apparently he's holidaying in Los Angeles with his best mate Bellingham which may explain why.

We are the only club in Europeans top 5 leagues to not make a signing. I didn't mind us getting Endo as a stop gap last August.. but it looks like we are gonna ignore the fact we still need to replace Fabinho.

Looks like we are moving for a defensive midfielder afterall, and Genoa youngster Morten Frendrup is the player we have identified. He's been likened to Kante, and he looks like he could be a gem for £21m if we get it over the line.

If that Calafiori guy is as good as Saliba I reckon Arsenal will win the league. I definitely have them favourites, they're hungry.

Right now it feels like it will be all City vs Arsenal and nothing else.

He's dubbed one of the best young Italian deffenders right now but he's had only one good season so you can't know for sure.

In any case they got him for a decent price for today's standards so great bit of business by them.
