I buy the Mirror every day (mainly because it's one of the few papers on the side of the working class, though you wouldn't have known it during the Miners Strike). Unfortunately its hardly ever right when it comes to transfer stories (which is a shame as I'd like to see Pulisic here).

Yakka the miners strike was 34 years ago inn1984. If the editor was 50, he’s now 84 and probably retired by now. Deep breaths mate!

Well considering the Miners Strike was the most pivotal industrial dispute in this country since the 1926 General Strike and the Daily Mirror, thanks to its then owner Robert Maxwell, was on the side of the Thatcher government, I felt I had to qualify calling it a working class paper.
And I don't know changing editors has to do with it, did you start buying the S*n when McKenzie left?

Chelsea fans seem to think Pulisic is heading to them as a replacement for Hazard who is off to Madrid in the summer

Quite a few Liverpool fans think we have already come to an agreement with Dortmund for Pulisic to join in the summer. One of our negotiating points with Nike when discussing our kit supplier from next year apparently. Just stuff on Twitter but some of these guys have got quite a few things right.

Far too inconsistent, and up his own ***** , struggles with end product - just another Stewart Downing imo - big fish in small pond

Possibly - think for the money you would have to spend there will be a good amount of players better. Couldn’t see him being adaptable to fit in with the front players . The rumours of Werner are encouraging - also heard that Barce maybe looking to move on Coutinho

I know you like him Yakka but sorry, you leave like he did and there should be no way back. No one will sing his name like our fans did, great little player but not a “winner” and our defense is much better without him.

Phil acted no differently than most players if a perceived big move was being denied to them, look at how the likes of Sadio, Lovren and Virgil left Southampton or look at Mascherano or even look at the strop Luis threw when the club blocked his move to Arsenal, he went on Uruguayan radio and called Rodgers and the owners liars and even refused to celebrate goals with his team mates in Melbourne.
There's very few Danial Agger types around these days though saying that Jurgen said he believed Phil when Phil told him Barcelona was the only club he'd ever leave Liverpool for.
Players use this club so this club has to use players, if Phil can take us to that next level I say go and get him. Let's face it none of them would be here if we were paying them £5 a week.

It’s a fair shout - I think whilst he was a superb player for us we have moved on and maybe Shaqiri fills that role now but it would be interesting to see how he would go behind the front three and in front of our current back four ?

At a good price then hard to turn down maybe
