that Eriksen played for Denmark against England last night. Has a crackin cross on him from what I saw, it was him that crossed it for Aggers goal. Didn't see much else in terms of his ability to dribble or anything because I fell asleep

(England matches can have that affect). He played behind the striker tho

He was the best player on the pitch i thought.
Great touch, decent dribbling and crossing and an eye for a pass.
His link up play with others was great as well.
Looks a top player.

Agree Eriksen was definitely man of the match. Quick thinking (in his runs and passing) and with quick feet as well (and can play equally well with both I think). I've watched Eriksen quite a few times and he is indeed a top prospect, but the hype around him will be massive now ie his price will rise. Also he has said, that he would like to stay at Ajax and develop and is in no rush to move (Spain seems to be his prefered destination atm too because of the playing style there).

Didn't see the game but if Talksport is anything to go by this kid is the next big thing. Getting rave reviews.

Sounds like a gem of a player who we should pursue in the summer.

Missed the game...........................gutted.

Hes a great talent and with Mierles being 28 soon, Gerrard no spring chicken anymore and Cole being :censored:

we could use someone like him behind the stiker. He wouldnt cost an arm and a leg, however going off the things he says i cant see him coming to us unless in afew years time where the dogs :censored:

Heres some more rumours:

England youngsters Connor Wickham and Wilfried Zaha appear to be on the Liverpool radar after they were reportedly viewed at close quarters by Kenny Dalglish.

The teenage duo played for England U19s against their German counterparts in Chesterfield on Tuesday night and, according to the Daily Mail, Dalglish was in the stands to cast his expert eye over the starlets.

Ipswich striker, Wickham, is known to have been in the sights of Liverpool for a number of months and they will reportedly have to fight off interest from Arsenal to seal a deal for the 17-year-old.

Zaha, 18, has also been previously linked with a move to Anfield after a string of impressive displays for npower Championship outfit, Crystal Palace.

Greater focus on the acquisition and development of young talent was outlined as top-priority by Liverpool owners New England Sports Ventures when they bought the club last year and moves for Wickham and Zaha would go some way to fulfilling that promise.

I missed the game too but my goodness.. The kid was on fire. He should have had 4 assists with all those beautiful passes, made some brilliant runs, great shot off the post and got Agger's assist... He even megged one of our own in Glen Johnson

Liverpool are plotting a second major transfer swoop on Newcastle United - for super Spanish left back Jose Enrique.
Kop talent-spotter Damien Comolli watched the highly-rated defender in action at the weekend as he looks for a solution to Kenny Dalglish’s problem position. Enrique was in outstanding form against Blackburn Rovers, adding to his reputation as one of the best players in his role in the Premier League - and the Anfield club may trouble the Toon again in the summer. Dalglish shattered Liverpool’s signing record by landing striker Andy Carroll from Newcastle and the Geordies would look for a hefty fee for Enrique too.

However Liverpool need a recognised player in that position as Paul Konchesky is exiled at Nottingham Forest on loan and Glen Johnson is filling in for the rest of the campaign - but clearly not suited as a long-term answer. Enrique, 25, was a big-money capture by Sam Allardyce during his time at Newcastle and has also been linked with Manchester United as a possible replacement for Patrice Evra if he leaves. However Liverpool are now heading the queue and could make an offer in the summer - with cash to spend on improvements in that area.
