£100 million though....

Still, if he does go there, I'll take some solace from the fact that Whiskey Nose released on a free a few years back

Ironically though mate spending £100m on a top quality player probably works out cheaper in the long run than our scattergun approach, the amount of money we've frittered away on the Aspas's, Assaidi's and Alberto's etc over the years must be astronomical, at least United know that come what may they will have a top class footballer on their books, we probably forked out a similar amount and were guaranteed nothing.

I hear what you're saying, but it doesn't always work out that way. Look at the likes of Torres....Pedro...Di Maria....Depay...Benteke...all big money. All *****

100M + 300K per week based on a 5 years contract = 178,000,000 on one player who at anytime could break his leg in training or in a match.
In fact, we should keep Skrtel to do just that!
  :D
But surely, we all knew this was what the sh!te were going to do having appointed Maureen?
So no surprises there...

I'm not worried at any of manure signings as of yet. Maureen is just buying big names without any thought of how they're gonna fit into a team. He's buying egos aswell which is never good for morale.

My thoughts too. If Pogba signs up, i'd like to be a fly on the wall in that dressing room!

Wonder what are your feelings about Kuba Blaszczykowski, who Klopp coached at BVB, who has a nice Euro performance, but is unsettled at BVB.
Read some reports about Klopp wanting to bring him in.

Blaszczykowski? The club are just wanting to sign him so they can charge per letter for shirt names.

Anyone know anything of Anderson Talisca? Portuguese media reckon we've bid 25m euros with a work visa application in process

Lol. Nah. He uses Kuba on a shirt so it would be really cheap if they charged per letter :)

His YouTube vids aren't that impressive, he reminds me a bit of that lad who plays for Newcastle Sissoko, he's lanky, ungainly and even when he's got control of the ball it looks like he hasn't got control of the ball....if you know what I mean.

Good player mate but he'll be 31 in December, given how quick the prem is I'm not sure its the best place for 30-somethings (as we saw with Gerrard).

It worked out alright with McAllister, sometimes it's about character, knowledge and experience to help a young squad and a manager impart his ideals! Or he could just be a slow ageing winger ;)

True mate but let's not forget that McAllister was on a short term contract (he only played 55 games for us), Milner on the other hand was given a bumper 4 year deal when he was on the verge of turning 30.
We have got to be careful that we don't load the squad with veterans who will just sit on their contracts.

From the Sunday People

Benitez had planned to ask Liverpool for Jordon Ibe in part-exchange for Wijnaldum this week in a swap deal plus £10M

The Mirror (another paper I   at) is going all out with the Wijnaldum story...

Actually he's not a bad player that Wijnaldum, I wouldn't mind us signing him.
