Out and out strikers in short supply these days really, they all play in a flexible front line and Texeria is another.

Lallana isnt quick or mobile enough to do that job so he will be off certainly.

I share your concerns mate, i don't think i have ever seen him play, i have read very good things about him

The only comparison i can make regarding the Ukranian league and decent players is the fact that Willian, Mkhitaryan & Konoplyanka all came from there and have done pretty well for themselves, in particular Willian who was at Shakhtar Donetsk (same as Alex Tex) and he has been the chav's best player this season

You can add Douglas Costa and Luiz Adriano to that list as well, both from Sakhtar.

I have no problems with the fact that he's coming from Ukraine. In fact, Sakhtar know exactly what they're doing when they're asking for that much money, all of the players they've sold in recent years have been a big success and it will be no different with Teixeria.

So I have no doubt in his ability, but do we really need to sign another AM?

Lallana rarely scores aswel which is why he needs to be replaced.

I would like to see a att mid of alex, Coutinho and firmino playing of a sturridge type of striker. If we have a fit DS then all is good.

We would just then need a solid DM and CB. Adding a GK would also help.

Stikers are in short supply, which is why I think Sturridge is being treated with kid gloves to get him back to full fitness. For good.

Lalllana has been a huge waste of space and I'd move him on at the first given opportunity.

Teixeira latest.

Shakhtar Donetsk have opened talks with Liverpool over the possible transfer of Alex Teixeira, a source at the Ukrainian club has told the Guardian. Liverpool are so far the only club who have made an official approach for Teixeira.

Haggling over the fee and a way out of over paying is to offer the seller a large portion of the next sell on as a sweetner.

All Couthinos muckers are definately on our radar  :;):

If we do buy him i hope its now rather than summer. Be better if he gets in now and tries to adjust. That way he will be more than ready next season. Its taken bit of time for firmino and  now his gradually performing well.

I'm no expert on this fella but it does seem like he scores a hell of a lot of goals and although he may technically be an AM I think we are in essence buying a front man.
I'd prefer it myself if we spent £25m on a CM but with Sturridges ongoing injury problems and Benteke's adaptability issues I do feel we are in urgent need of a goalscorer as well. You only have to look at our goal difference to see that.

I think the expensive mids are coming in the summer mate. I am sweet with this. I got BeIN sports and have caught him a few times, looks quite the handy player. Looks like we will go with the false 9 approach with this lad and Firmino until Sturridge gets back to full fitness, or we buy in the summer.
Really pleased with this if it comes off. I was big on the Firmino signing as the BuLi is my second most watched league, I am bigger on this as this guy has a Sh*t tonne of pace and is what we crave.

Re: Teixeira

Aye has flown back and they've turned down our first offer. No idea if we've offered more and agreed a deal or given up. However, Aye flying back means it has gone one or two ways...

Since then... according to Dominic King, FSG have sent a team to Miami to negotiate further a deal

I quite like how everything is speculative. Our handling of transfers seems to have changed dramatically over the lest few years, for the better

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Alex Teixeira wants to join Liverpool and is confident a deal can be reached between the clubs. (Goal)
