Might take a few weeks and an appeal to get his work permit though.

BBC & SKY reporting it now too

As for itk's and twitter accounts, it's a very small world  :;):

My reservations are that he's another AM and having that goal scoring record in the Ukrainian league...

Seems like we're again leaning towards the 'false 9' approach than going for an out and out striker, we'll be stocked with AMs, that's Lallana off in the summer

I share your concerns mate, i don't think i have ever seen him play, i have read very good things about him

The only comparison i can make regarding the Ukranian league and decent players is the fact that Willian, Mkhitaryan & Konoplyanka all came from there and have done pretty well for themselves, in particular Willian who was at Shakhtar Donetsk (same as Alex Tex) and he has been the chav's best player this season

One other interesting thing is reuniting 2 Brazillians together...

Oh yeh, a copy n paste for you here, but looks like work permit wouldn't be a problem based on the following...

Alex Teixeira would be Tier 1 (high value migrant) and Tier 1 (Exceptional talent)

75 points each would grant him enough for work permit

Yeah I think that's the end of Lallana. He'll be off in the summer along with Allen, Bogdan and a few more.

Klopp has always played with a proper CF, and a tall one at that, but doubt we'll get one until the summer. Think our forward line for the rest of the season will be Firmino upfront and his two compatriots Coutinho and Teixeira behind him. We'll have 5 Brazilians on our book (Lucus and Allan)!

Unconfirmed, but some are saying that Alex Teixeira has a hamstring injury (yes the irony lol), not sure if true, may be nonsense but Artur Petrosyan from Russian media has posted it

This is what he said...

Alex Teixeira pulled his hamstring soon after Liverpool made a bid. This is not a joke. Repeat: this is not a joke. It happened during his last training with Shakhtar in USA a few hours before Ian Ayre got on the plane.

Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu after Corinthians friendly: "Teixeira was injured during yesterday's morning session. I decided to rest him. Reports about Alex Teixeira having pulled his hamstring right after LFC made an offer are false. The player's injury is minor, needed rest."

Shakhtar manager Mircea Lucescu says Liverpool target, Alex Teixeira is not injured and was simply rested for their friendly yesterday.

Well one thing's for sure. None of his teammates are capable of scoring. Holy f*ck it's like watching us play.

Looks good mate. Dare I say he the way he plays looks somewhat like Suarez? Quick feet, natural control and technique. And his goals seems varied which shows that he was using his head when scoring and not just wacking the ball. I feel a bit more optimistic...

Funny you say that, since the links started last night i have been reading up loads on him and many top football scouts are saying the same thing as you, he is the closest thing to Suarez they have seen

Plus he knows Coutinho from early years playing together with him

I am thinking a front 3 of Tex, Coutinho & Firmino would be pretty exciting

If this deal goes through i can see Lallana being out in the cold

Alex will most likely take Lallana's place.

Will have a 3 man  attacking mid just behind striker.

Coutinho, Firminho and Alex.

We are hoping he is everything Firmino failed to be.

In all honesty, we needed another option to compete with Firmino/Lallana for the AM spots. Let's hope this one works out.

A front 3 of Texiera, Coutinho and Firmino would be quite exciting I must admit, especially if Firmino keeps up his current form.
