if we try to replace him with another forward there`s no way whoever we bring in is going to be as effective. not only that if we bring in an out and out leader of the line he is going to upset the balance we have up top.
i`d rather go in a different direction, we saw when suarez was out that coutinho and sturridge (with the likes of hendo supporting from midfield) were a potent strikeforce, i`d rather build around that by bringing in a goalscoring wideman.
when kevin keegan left we went in a totally different direction, toshack was frozen out and we went with dalglish and johnson, when rush went we went in a totally different direction again, aldo was a target man he wasnt a pace merchant like rush, i`d do the same again.
Any team losing a player the calibre of Suarez would need to make significant changes because he is simply a one off ,a truly special talent .
Its just that this player currently doesn't wish to show that ability whilst wearing the red of Liverpool ,so Liverpool will as you say be forced
to adapt. ...... Soldado would be an entirely different animal from Suarez ,but his inclusion would still make us a better all round unit.
