According to the Sunday Mirror, we are reportedly trying to seal a £5m deal with Pompey for Matty Taylor.

Only a short article but nevertheless I would welcome that transfer.

Solid player who has performed very well and coinsistently in the Premier league. I would welcome him and reckon he'd play more games than he'd be left out of once he got in the team.

I'd welcome the guy with open arms, personally. Good player with a cracking work ethic. And, obviously, capable of pulling the trigger from distance as well.

Offers a similar attacking threat to Riise, but maybe that bit more disciplined defensively. I know some people would see his signing as the end of the line for JAR, but I think those two and Aurelio would offer a perfect level of depth all along the left hand side.

save some money to spend on worldclass player

I like Taylor. Good player who could come in and challenge Riise/Aurelio. I'd be WORRIED if he was the only left-sided player we bought in though!
