not that I'm comparing any of em to Keegan mind.

No. Johnson played for FA cup champions and a club which has constantly finished in top 10 from last few seasons. They were unfortunate last season because of their financial problems and Harry leaving. And mind you Johnson has played for Chelsea before.

£9m would make Turner our most expensive centre back. Would he be 1st choice though or as low as 4th?

And I thought we were after Lennon as part of the Keane deal? Sounds more like the journalist is trying to fill column inches than reveal secrets. At least I hope!

Brentford Fc is the nearest club to me and i use to watch them all the time. Turner was a decent player for them, but sam sodje was seen as the main centre back at the time!

No doubt Turner has improved dramatically and last season did an outstanding job at Hull, but i think on a personal note i would pick Carra, Agger and Skrtel all ahead of him.

Where exactly did pompey end up last season ? just above the relegation zone - Just because turner plaed for hull doesnt make him not good enough

I quite liked the idea of Distin as he would provide decent cover for left back too. But Villa are also after him and reports say Pompey are after 4 million for him (Villa apparently bid 2.5 million).

At 31 and not likely to play that many games, I don't think he's value for 4 million.

2.5 mill would be reasonable.. Distin would be a not bad cover option..

Where do you live EK? I currently live on the Docks in Brentford, it's quite a nice place actually. Where do you go to watcht he games? I always go to three Kings in Kensington. Good atmosphere and Liverpool always out number any other team, even Chelsea, whiuch is mental in West London.

Anyway Iduno why I'm asking I'm moving back home at the weekend. Can't wait either, the North is calling!
