you think they would want Babel too? Dosenna? Lucas? or be interested in parting with Maxi or Simao?

Talking about Atletico's future is talking for the sake of talking. They're probably the most unpredictable and random club ever.

Some rumors today linking us with a 12Mil move for Diogo Luis Santo or something....

Also Arbeloa to Valencia for 7Mil.

According to the last rumours Atletico will bid as far as 7M, and Arbeloa would preffer going back to Madrid rather than Valencia.

It would be a good business provided what we paid for him, and a good signing, because he never was meant to be a top player, rather a player that filled a gap in the team and answered well.

its not one of our 'problem areas' like another striker, or a right winger, but I think if we could get £7m for Arbeloa and buy Glen Johnson for a similar price (if not less) I think that would be a good deal.

there could be some decent quality on teams taking the drop this year. I don't think players like Johnson or Downing or Santa Cruz or Gamst Pederson, Krancjar, Warnock (would help with our club trained player quota) will stick around to play in the Championship. If we do go after 1 big money signing like people will want us to, we might need to pick up one medium priced squad player to address our other problems.

How about taking Bojan Krkic on loan next year as a second striker to play just behind Torres?

Barca confirm Bojan interest - Interest mounts, but Spaniards won't talk until the summer

Barcelona have confirmed to skysports.com that clubs have made contact with them about starlet Bojan Krkic.

However, the Spanish giants insist that nothing has been decided over the 18-year-old's future.

Tottenham, as well as the likes of Villarreal, Paris Saint Germain and Ajax, have been linked with possible some moves for the international striker, who has seen his chances at Camp Nou limited this season.

But Barca insist nothing has yet been decided, despite reports in Spain that coach Pep Guardiola is happy to let him leave on loan next season.

A club source told skysports.com: "Bojan Krkic is a player who has a deal with Barcelona and is very much part of the squad.

"Nobody has decided anything about his future.

"Some clubs have asked about Bojan, but until the end of the season we will not even visit this subject."

The player's father, Bojan Krkic senior, also insisted that his son wanted to continue to try and make his mark in Catalunya.

"We are calm because I am convinced my son will get his chance and will triumph," he said.

Valencia's new chief executive, Javier Gomez, has admitted that the Mestalla club's financial state is precarious at best.

Reports of an unpaid wage bill of €15 million have rocked the Mestalla side, who now may consider drastic action in terms of their top assets, namely David Villa and David Silva.

"The club is in a very delicate situation," he told Sky Sports.

"The club has to control spending, grow income and sell assets.

"Selling Silva and Villa? Obviously we will consider that type of action. We have to control costs, and the biggest cost in a football club is maintaining a team."

Valencia managed to fight off summer interest in their star players, particularly Villa, who was apparently subject to a late Real Madrid bid of €35m that was immediately rejected.

Silva is under contract until 2014, while 'El Guaje' is tied to the Mestalla until 2013 with a release clause said to be in excess of €150m.

He is a really good player Albiol, I rate him to be better than Skrtel and Agger.

I would love to see him at anfield next season, and I wouldnt mind either david silva and david villa, though I would think both would go to either real madrid or barcelona

I don't think we have any realistic chance of getting Villa.

Even if we spent our entire summer transfer budget on him - which I'd guess to be about 20-30 mil, maybe 40 mil absolute tops if we sell a few on, you have Man City who could hijack the deal and outbid us.  United and Chelsea I'm sure would show an interest if he was for sale, as well as Madrid and possibly Barce.

If Valencia received a dollar for every article that mentioned them selling star players to help fix their financial crisis over the last 18 months, they'd no longer be in debt. What's even more amusing is the fact that none of their bigger name players (Not just Villa/Silva, but Albiol, Marchena etc. as well) have been shipped out.

I'd rather have Silva over Villa, we can find another striker to suit Torres who isn't 40mil, and we need a RW badly.

If rafa is with us next season i really dont know how he will organise the side and what formation would he play. IF his going to buy another striker to pair with torres then he has to stick to 4-4-2...

Its going to be interesting to see whats going to happen one thing for sure is and mark  my word of this if rafa is still with us kuyt will still be our right mid player!!!!  We will not get a class right winger!!!   Thats kuyts position...

We need Aaron Lennon for 12-15mil and we can use the 'Robbie Keane' money for that deal. We should also buy Carlton Cole for 15mil. I know he's average but we need English players for this new rule brought in by Uefa and he is young and can have great games. Then with whatever we have left buy a decent full back like Rafinha or someone FAST. We need to promote Insua into the first team and more specifically the starting 11! The guy is quality. He has great defensive ability and against Sunderland got forward increadibly well and had a chance himself. Just my thoughts.

Liverpool and Chelsea target Kjaer can leave Italy for £11m

Liverpool and Chelsea are reported to be interested in Palermo's teenage sensation Simon Kjaer.

The 19-year-old Danish centre back can leave the Italian club for £11million in the summer and is also said to be a target for Real Madrid after impressing in his debut Serie A season.

His agent, former Derby and Middlesbrough striker Mikkel Beck, claims there is plenty of interest in the former FC Midtjylland defender.
Beck said: 'I can't give names, but it is clear that the top clubs in Europe are tracking Simon after his outstanding season.

'We don't know what will happen. He is very happy at Palermo and could stay there. There is a clause in his contract that allows him to leave during the summer window.'
