must be something serious for him to jack it in so soon.  Mind you, 5 months of watching spurs would do that to anyone!  :p

So is it Bonfire night or April Fools day?

Jacques Santini has announced his resignation as head coach of Spurs. He has sighted personal reasons for his decision and is making his way back to France to be with his family.

Of course the rumour whores have started already, trying to figure out exactly why this has happened; his wife has left him, he didn't get on with Arnesen etc etc. As Spurs fans we shoud be used to this sort of thing by now.

I would like to wish Santini all the best in the future and hope he hasn't left us in too much trouble. For the time being at least Martin Jol will take charge of first team matters starting with Charlton at home tomorrow.

apparently he blamed it on his being too busy, living in a hotel and not being able to watch the olympics.

Translation.

he realised that spurs were $*i*e and ran.
