Houllier on the southampton shortlist

The Premiership - General Discussion

just heard that gerard houllier is on the shortlist to become the new manager of southampton after the sacking of paul sturrock today. it would be good to see him back in football to be honest, at a club where he could probably excel himself. the pressure of being liverpool boss proved to be too much for him in the end, especially after his heart surgery.

having said all that, they'll probably bring back glenn hoddle.

i think he would be a good appointment for a club a southamptons size, i hear their chairman is looking for a continental system with a director of football this could be a good role for houllier
