Ferdinand - Question by police

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Dundalk » Tue Jun 17, 2008 4:04 pm

Seven hours after Rio Ferdinand landed in Tel Aviv last night, the Manchester United defender found himself answering questions from local police.

According to reports, Ferdinand and his entourage arrived at a Tel Aviv nightclub at 1.30am Tuesday morning, and they were the last ones out the door at 5.30am. On leaving the club, Ferdinand and his chums were surrounded by local paparazzi, with one photographer having his camera smashed in the ensuing melee.

The irate photographer called the police, who stopped Ferdinand and his crew on their way home, forcing their car to the side of the road to answer questions about the incident. Only after an hour of interrogation, and following a commitment from the party to compensate the photographer for his loss, was Ferdinand allowed to head home for the night.

Ferdinand is in Israel to speak with his agent, Pini Zahavi.

A video showing Ferdinand’s arrival at Ben Gurion airport can be seen HERE.The video ends comically with Ferdinand, who clearly wanted to avoid any questions from reporters, forced to hang around by himself as he waited for his meeting party to arrive.

I don't have any sympathy to any Manchester United player, but to be honest, if I was famous I don't know how I'd answer to those paparazzi.

Being famous is nice because of the money, but personally I wouldn't know to live with a camera and a micro always on front of me and everybody knowing who you are.

It's sad when a drug-snorting, thick, hair-lipped tw*t is held up as a hero and role-model.

To think - they'd have put him down at birth under Hitler... :D

Turkey and Germany gave everything they had last night, and meanwhile, England's supposed wannabe captain is hanging around an Israeli nightclub.
