If you dont think that Torres, was a disloyal p.rick, you're on your own with that thinking.

Kenny had just joined the club (didnt give Kenny a chance), we had just brought in new owners (didnt give the new owners a chance, infact they had just spent 23m on a world class partner for him). What Torres did was a disgrace, and may he rot.

Sh.it you really are mentally challenged if you can't see the bigger picture.Liverpool would have been crazy not to accept £50m for a player who had become a shadow of his former self. Can't be bothered responding in further detail to such a whinging moaning excuse of a supporter.

Who mentioned anything about accepting 50 million? You are going off on another tangent.

I solely commented on your claim that Torres wasn't disloyal. He was. Simple.

Without question.

At the moment one can score goals the other can't play football.

And just how do you know that Comolli didn't very successfully manipulate the transfer to profit from Nando's past success. You don't. You're just very very naive.

I fully explained my reasoning in my previous thread but you only managed to read one sentence and you call Torres a pr.ick !!!

So its Comolli who was responsible for Torres leaving? Was he standing behind Torres with a gun to his head when Kenny (in his office) tried to persuade him to stay?

If this wacky theory was in any way accurate then Torres wouldnt be getting abused on every forum, radio phone in, tv show, and at the ground, as a judas.

Only by morons and in your case the cap fits! Jog on you bitter you haven't got a clue.I also remember a lot of idiots burning their Gerrard shirts when he nearly went to Chelsea. You were probably one of them! I could add Michael Owen and Steve McManaman to your bitter list but I simply prefer to remember standing a few yards behind the goal at Cardiff when Michael scored two goals late on.You've probably forgotten but those amazing goals won us the FA Cup! Or maybe Stevie Mc's vollied goal from twenty five yards against Valencia in the final of the CL after beating Man United to get to the final when he was playing for Real Madrid. Your so bitter you probably cried !!!!! Fkg hate so-called supporters like you !!!

Hell hath no fury like a woman (or a man) scorned
People had put emotional investment in Torres. Quite simply, they loved him. I did. Im not ashamed to admit it. So when he left it was like being spurned by the love of your life. It was heartbreaking. Men cried at the loss of someone so perfect, so...right. He was made for us and we were made for him, and the feeling was mutual.
Sadly, as in real life, sh'it happens and Torres had already felt betrayed by LFC. Not the fans, but the club. He had already made his mind up to leave after Rafa was sacked. When Hodgson came in and the full extent of twit and tw@ts shennanagins were exposed there was only one conclusion. It was the longest goodbye note in football. All things being equal Torres did us a favour by getting us as much money for him as we did. There was no way whatsoever that he was worth £50 mil but thats what we got.
I would have him back tomorrow because I believe that there is still a great foootballer in there just waiting to come out. It wont happen though because the majority wont forgive what they see as his betrayal and as I said "hell hath no fury..."

Precisely Reg, if it was a straight swop, I would bite their hands off... but i have a feeling they are asking for cash + Carroll... you can't trust the fidelity of reports these days...

They will be asking for cash plus Bent (he cost them 24m and his value hasnt depreciated).

If this offer was genuine (lets say 5m plus Carroll) i would snap their hand off. Bent wouldnt be my first choice (Llorente, Soldado).. but hes a step up from what we have and would guarantee us goals to qualify for the CL.

No one will guarantee us goals, thats just an absolute stupid thing to say. Chance of goals, possibility of goals, go as far as sayin improved chance of goals, but not one single player in world football will GUARANTEE goals.

And before u come back with another anti-Carroll statement, neither will Carroll ok  :suspect:
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

guarantee is very rarely used in the LITERAL sense

Bent has pedigree, is a proven goalscorer, i would like to swap that for one who has neither.

I reckon Messi on current form could be guaranteed to score goals on his own, you'd certainly get excellent odds against it.
:D

In all seriousness though we need a half decent striker to propel us in into 4th place.

he has a sweet sweet left foot, why dont he use it more often ?
i think he has one of the hardest left foot shot/ volley in the game.
Fowler had a fierce shot and placement, for Carroll, he will just shoot near to the keeper and
the ball is still too fast to be stop.

if Carroll is on fire, we will get top 4.
