I'm sorry but this has to go down as the worst transfer of all time. The guy simply can't play football.
Yet he could at Newcastle?
I'm not saying Carroll is worth it by any means, but there is something majorly wrong with our scouts. Players who are performing well elsewhere just aren't fitting in for whatever reason.
Carroll was polific at Newcastle, he didn't just become sh!t, there is more to it.
I have no idea what it is, but all too often we are buying players, and they are just sh!te for us... no idea why

dont make stuff up.
Andy Carroll was on offer for 2 million pound sterling in August 2009 (prior to their season in the Championship). A half a season in the PL playing for a direct long ball team where he got on the end of scrappy stuff (his goal at Arsenal being a prime example).. does not constitute signing him.
It was a wacky transfer, and a basic analysis (ie.phone call to Glenn Roeder) would have ended any interest immediately.

And yes, he is a long ball taker, hence it is the scouts fault for picking him out, the managers and owners fault for putting in all the money. Most people even said Carroll didn't really wanna go but our stupid amount made it impossible to keep him.
Can't blame Carroll for our downfall, he plays a certain way, always has, and we tried to fit a round peg in a square hole

Actually 14 goals (he scored 17 in the dean windass championship) is a shocking return for a team that caters to his limitations. He will average less with us than he did with Newcastle.
At Stoke he would be around the 10 goal mark by now.. they lump in balls from all angles (set piece, throw ins, long balls). A team that plays on the floor, which badly exposes his shocking inability, makes him look even worse.
Hes a limited player who belongs in a team that play a midtable standard direct game.

Kenny's lost us a CL spot by buying thisin the first place. I don't blame the players, i blame the people who signed them

That is true but Andy is still to bad to play for us.

yes hes limited, but we cant slag him off when we brought him. He didnt wanna come, we just wasted money on a player 99% of us knew wouldnt fit in

what can we do? Sell him back to Newcastle for 10 million? Kenny's transfer dealings make Houllier look like a genius.

He is a legend and rightly so but because of that he will be treated differently which I think is wrong.
If Rafa or Ruy hadaway 100 million on players and the team would be sitting comfortably on 6th-7th they'd be totally slaughtered. But Kenny can
away 200 million and finish 10th and very few would say much at all...
