It hasnt been the greatest of seasons i will agree but how can a signing be judged terrible until he has had the chance to prove himself throughout a whole career at Liverpool and not after a first season in a new league while still get over injury

Feel like i am going around in circles with you.

Because he was replacing a key player.
We had a very good side last season and had a midfield that controlled games.
We lost Alonso and signed a player that due to injuries (and to me Rafa not trusting him) who has hardly played.
This has ruined our season and should cost the manager his job.

Rafa shouldnt be looking at players who MIGHT come good after a season. He should be signing players that are readu. UNLESS the players already in that position are good enough to carry the player.
They clearly are not, and we knew that before a ball was kicked.

e problem is which i touched on earlier is we couldnt afford to get someone to slot straight in and replace Xabi .

Its excuse after excuse after excuse.
He has been a shocking buy, no doubts about it.

He may well be a good player but he hasnt been fit, or selected when fit.
There is no denying this.
We could have signed a better player in Sneijder who went for 13 million - considerably less.
And Benny, it is unlikely that Inter paid for Sneijder upfront, hardly any club in world football do.
So yes we probably could have paid x amount upfront and then more each season.

Its not a new thing paying in instalments.

Umm Ben madrid wanted all money up front for any player sales last year to help them fund there massive outlay of 200 million plus for players hence why we also got the full 30 million for Xabi upfront . We got Aquilani becase A. he is a damn good player and still young and B. Was more financially easy for us . Hence why we also got Johnson .

Mick if you have got nothing of any input into the discussion then how about dont post any of your sarcastic sh.it - its not needed . While Ben and myslef may be having differing opinions we are at least trying to put them accross in an adult manner and no digs . It was all fine until you popped up.

There is indeed - 17 appearances so far this season he has had and had an impact on most games he has played - thats a better start than a lot of foriegners come over here with , he has had injuries and illnesses to deal with as well hence why will reserve judgement until next season .
