He got chosen as the worst buy of the season in the newspaper. Hard to argue. Krap buy - total crock. Another waste of money by Benitez (how much wasted now?)

Lineker agrees too

i think he is the worst buy of the season and i will say why again.
He was bought for big money to replace a key player in our team.
He has done ok when he has played but nothing special.
The fact that he has hardly played even when fit and because he replaced such a vital player in the side means for me he is the worst buy of the season.

And i would say thats down to peoples expectations as opposed to the ability of the player - if people really expected him to fit smoothly in place of Xabi then they need to have a look at there own expectations . Even Rafa stated he wasnt a replacement for Xabi as they were totally different players .

Fu'ck me! Am I watching a different player here?
Ill say it again: 7 starts 9 as sub. In those games we have won 8, drawn 5 and lost 3. He has 6 assists and a goal and has been voted Man of the match 3 times on the official website.
If only Lucas was as sh'ite as him.
As for Gary "snackfood" Lineker.
When did he become a football expert? Daft dumbo-eared gobsh'ite...

Well then Rafa is an absolute fool if he went into the season knowing that Aquilani wouldnt be ready if he was prepared to have Lucas replace Alonso.

thats what has destroyed our season.

Nobody is doubting his quality but nevertheless the decision to buy a crock definitely set us back any realistic chance of doing a lot better this season. As I've said before it's was a strange signing in the context of this season even though I think he'll be an excellent player for us in the future. I's still amazes me when some fans have been advocating selling him in the summer.

It is hard to believe that Rafa doesnt know what hes doing. Yet he bought a player who was injured, waited for him to get fit and then doesnt play him. He looks for excuses not to play him and wont give him a run because...?
The whole situation is a fiasco and Rafa is the architect of his own disaster. No wonder people take the pi'ss out of him, and of course, us.

Or maybe Rafas hands were tied down financially and managed to get a player worth 20 mil but didnt have to fork out the full amount straight away .

I dont care if he was free 5 million or 20 million.
The fact is he was replacing Alonso, a key player.

And he has made a massive error of judgement regardless of what he cost.

A key player that was leaving - a key player that we didnt have the funds to replace . It happens and has done before . Your cant judge if its a massive error in judgement until his liverpool career is over .
