Yeah heard that too, but surely Real Madrid are not stupid enough to sell a talented player like Benzema.

Heard we're after Kolarov aswell.  The guy is not only an excellent left back, but he has one hell of a shot.

Jonjo Shelvey

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6116529,00.html

Liverpool are set to win the race to sign Charlton starlet Jonjo Shelvey, skysports.com understands.

The 18-year-old midfielder has long been touted as one of the finest young prospects in England.

He has previously turned down Chelsea's overtures, whilst Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham are also known to have been keen on securing his services.

However, skysports.com now understands that Liverpool have indeed won the battle for his services.

Despite the ongoing uncertainty at Anfield over boss Rafa Benitez and the club's owners, they have managed to seal a deal for Shelvey.

It is understood that the teenager will travel to Merseyside early next week to undergo a medical before completing a summer switch.

Shelvey will finish the season with Charlton, who he still hopes to guide back into the Championship.

Ive seen the kid play acouple of times , an he is deffo gonna turn into a top player , hes quite tall an gangly but loads of pace and is good in a tackle can also play a ball, The kids from Essex and before he signed pro with Charlton, Chelsea were desperate to sign him, offerd him loads but he knocked them back, Hes done ok in the first team when ive seen him hes been the player that stood out , still needs alot of work though to get into our first team but the talent is there ,So id take him

Can't help but think a certain Mr Dalglish may have something to do with all these highly rated youngsters, who we always used to miss out on, suddenly signing for us.

Liverpool readying sensational bid for Man City hit man

Rumours have been circulating over the last few days that Carlos Tevez is far from happy at Man City and that he is on the verge of demanding a transfer with Liverpool seen as a likely destination.
At first the story was seen as pure gossip but now both the Spanish and Italian media are also running with the story and in fact the Italians are fairly confident that Tevez will be at Anfield next season partnering up with his old mate Javier Mascherano and forming a world class partnership with Fernando Torres.

The story goes that Liverpool can afford to pay up to £18 Million and that Man City may well be interested in accepting the bid rather than keep a player that is unhappy in the dressing room, they may even use Tevez has bait to tempt Liverpool to sell Anfield captain Steven Gerrard to City.

With other rumours linking Benitez with the managers job at City next season and repeated speculation linking both Gerrard and Torres with moves to City also one can expect that there will be a lot of communicating going on between Man City and Liverpool in the close season.
