Every time you mention Aquilani someone comes on and says "we didn't pay it all up front", as if all transfers in football are paid up front. Almost all are done in exactly the same way as we are paying for Aquilani, and it's worth noting that by June 30th we'll have paid 20 million Euros for him. Given that, I think we can put this nonsense to bed once and for all can't we?
In answer to Fauxy's question, he doesn't work hard enough, he isn't physically strong enough on the ball and he doesn't tackle. In the role he is trying to play, he doesn't contribute enough by a mile for me. I respect your opinion that he will turn out to be a "great" player for us, but sorry I don't agree with it. He did play very well against Portsmouth at Home, but unfortunately we don't play them every week. If we did, we'd probably have a good shot at winning the league.
