I was hoping to come home to at least a 1-0 win.  I can't even download the games anymore unless I know it was a win.. otherwise for sure it was a terrible display of football from us once again.  These are hard times I can't believe how bad things have gotten can you imagine being knocked out by this team?  Jesus :(

Like to know how many of those were forward and more than 8 yards.

i hope the fans let them know on monday night what they think of them because the attitude lately and football being dished out is a fooking disgrace, its not just blame the managertime its him and  the overpaid shower that call themselves footballers that need to take it aswell.

its time the fans let them all know they play for us and they better fooking start showing it, im getting :censored: with the lot of them now.

Agree Jon, its not just all about Rafa, the players have a lot to answer for. Some of them have been disgraceful with their attitude lately and its not on. As for the fans showing them what they think....it aint going to happen as its not in their nature but at 10.00 on Monday night if we have been beat again then that might just change :D

its not aquas fault its rafa being a stubborn mule?

Rafa....

I am disappointed with the result but really pleased with the effort of the players. They were fantastic today. It is clear, particularly in this competition, you have to score away because it is an advantage. We were just not strong enough today but there is still 90 minutes to play. I am confident we can beat anyone at Anfield on our day with the fans behind us.     Image

I thought it couldn't get any worse after the Wigan game but it has.

Another game when we've seen the petulant Gerrard fail to turn up and sulk around the park like a schoolboy who's had his lunchbox nicked. I am losing patience with our talismanic skipper.

With the exception of Carra and Reina (who can never be faulted for effort) the team was woeful tonight.

Mascherano couldn't pass wind tonight
Kuyt was playing as a 2nd right back and looks totally shot
Babel did OK I suppose
Torres looks miles off being match fit and like Gerrard looks like he's in the cream puff.
Lucas is just Lucas

Brutal...absolutely brutal!!

Please call a halt on this season and start an immediate investigation into why 12 months ago, with effectively the same squad of players, we now find ourselves struggling as a team and struggling as a club (and don't say Alonso - part of it but his departure can't be held responsible for the attitude issue and lack of effort from some of our players!)

There is something BADLY wrong that needs fixing soon or we will fall to bits.

No, it's not a pleasure to download them any more. I do it because otherwise I lose the track of the team's situation, but it's not a pleasure any more.

*sigh*

But this is football, and you can consider lucky to be a Liverpool fan, where seasons like this are more strange than glorious seasons.

This.

Agree with Dundalk's and John's posts also.

Normally a performance like tonights game would be chalked off as an off day and could even possibly be cursing our luck with the type of goal we concieded, but then again, last season and the seasons before, a side like Lille would have been cannon fodder for us and we'd have blitzed them. We wouldn't even be worrying about the second leg, but then again it would have been the CL and not the Europa FFS. This is Roy Evan's era of European football, and to say that about a Rafa Benitez team, something is seriously, seriously wrong throughout the entire team and club and not just with Benitez. His pedigree has no peer in Europe and it insults me as a Liverpool supporter that there are those out there who are willing to lay the blame for this season squarely on him. No knowledgeable Liverpool supporter, nay, no knowledgeable football supporter can say that Benitez doesn't know how to get a team competing in Europe. We're not out yet, but on the basis of these performances, we won't win it.

That be right

I can't see the problem, we'll have to just give him back then won't we?

We´d go to commercial arbitration I guess, after all its a contract default.

Hope to goodness its not true as the implications are simply too great to even imagine.
