they feel that have made a good offer for him and its now in his and our clubs own hands.

It's not in his hands at all. He is contracted to us and has 3 years left so it is up to the club and Rafa to deem whether that offer is good enough or not.

dont think Real see it like that, they feel they are so big that if they ask a player if he would like to go and play for them they will always say yes, it dont matter if they are under contract as they will just pay it off.

If they pay enough then that's fine but they can't just expect to throw a peanuts figure in our face and expect us to be happy with that. Anyway this is getting to be most disruptive now so I hope they work out a figure we are happy with asap. Frankly I cannot wait to see the back of him now.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I think he is going, I think Rafa is just trying to make it clear that he wants Alonso to stay and if he goes its because Alonso himself WANTS TO GO , and not because Rafa no longer wants him.

Spanish midfielder Alonso is with the Reds squad in Thailand for the start of the Asian leg of their tour but has kept a low profile.

If Alonso insists going and/or doesn't show enough commitment, he won't be only letting down Rafa, also the team mates and the fans.

I understand why Bav says earlier in this thread get rid of him he doesn't show enough commitment, but I also think we can't yield to a player's desire when it springs if it doesn't suit us well. Rip them off I say or he stays.

where has he not shown commitment? He said he's happy to stay, but admitted he's flattered to be linked with Real.
