At least the club have come out and publicly denied that a fee has been agreed.

So far 7_Kewell  independently of the rumours and uncle albertos, I have sensed in his quotes a different reaction to his words of last summer, when Rafa wanted to sell him (Not Parry).

I wrote IF, meaning, that if those sitting on the fence words he's saying these days become something uglier like talking in the press or not show commitment playing. Just if.

Defender Carragher, 31, said: "The feeling within the squad is that he's a top player.

"If the club thinks it is in their best interests then sometimes you have to do what is in the best interests of the club.

"We all go through these situations - well hopefully not me - I just hope it gets sorted out."

Spanish midfielder Alonso is with the Reds squad in Thailand for the start of the Asian leg of their tour but has kept a low profile.

If Alonso insists going and/or doesn't show enough commitment, he won't be only letting down Rafa, also the team mates and the fans.

I understand why Bav says earlier in this thread get rid of him he doesn't show enough commitment, but I also think we can't yield to a player's desire when it springs if it doesn't suit us well. Rip them off I say or he stays.

where has he not shown commitment? He said he's happy to stay, but admitted he's flattered to be linked with Real.

I wouldnt say he is being posativley commited in the same way Torres has. He has basically said id like to move if possible but if I have to stay then thats cool too. He is just trying to cover his :censored: in public but the reality of the situation is he WANTS to go. If he didn't we wouldn't even be talking about this any more. The guy has 3 :censored: years on his contract, it's not like he is deciding whether to sign a new contract with us.

I know sometimes we all have our personal favourates within the team but to think he still showing commitments is BS plain and simple.

I don’t deny that Alonso would welcome a move to Real. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to blame him after last summer.  But I think he’s a pro, and would give his all if it doesn’t happen.

Personally, I hope Rafa promises the lad a transfer NEXT summer.

How about one of em just being a...sick f*ck in general, with all the charisma of a bag of skanky whelks. Ask Bob if you need a reminder....(or read through the PM you sent me when yer found out what had been said)

Honestly - it aint happening. Get over it. And while we are at it....cut out the sardonic rhetoric - its doing you no favours at all.

:)  this ones the sarcasm smiley mate....
hopefully you knew that but anyways...

Alonso to mancity for 40mill or to madrid for 30mill ? if you were Rafa and had to pick between the two bids which one would you pick ?
and no GYBS, i dont have nay quotes from Rafa about him contemplating a 40mill offer from City ... im just saying... hypothetically ... because if rumours are to be believed (god forbid, GYBS), then ManCity are prepared to match our caluation and pay extra to fend off interest from Madrid...
so ?

Stand back GYBS, I'll save you a job mate, leave it to me.

AHEM!!!!!!!!

Where are the quotes though? Once again we are believing some journalist rahter than our manager  It's all (all together now) "SPECULATION!!!!".

How do you know that Xabi even wants to leave anyway, how do you knwo he's even got a Spanish passport, have you seen it? Have you been in on conversations between Rafa and Xabi? No, so lets just all wait and see what happens, don't believe any rumours!!!!!!

BTW I've heard a bloke off RAWK says he knows a bloke who once cleaned Mash's windows best mate, and he says Mash is actually Italian. This is 100% true by all accounts so at least Mash is staying anyway.

There you go mate  :)

Wow, I really couldn't tell if that was you or GYBS.  :D  :wwww
