We need to get rid of him now imo. His heart doesn't seem in it. There was no reason to sit on the fence for him, he has a long contract, is paid well and is a key member of the squad. Even if he had come out and I want to stay and was sold it wouldnt be as if he is coming of a bad guy.

not sure how treu this is but there is a press feed that Alonso and liverpool  has been given 7 days to make his mind up by Real.
they feel that have made a good offer for him and its now in his and our clubs own hands.

I think they all did/have mate. "Crimes once you've actually been banned" it is, so I'm led to believe. I guess that's why some people come back lots and lots and lots of times, because when they are actually banned they by and large behave.

Hopefully though the new rules will take away that impression that some have, that at times there is one law for some people and one for others. I must confess I'd be hard pressed myself to think of many things those guys did PRE BAN which was as bad as some of the things which have gone on recently. All IMHO of course, but like I say hopefully the new rules will sort it all out.

I can well understand Misty Reds confusion though when he looks at some of the recent posts/polls and the like, you read some of the stuff and see different posters banned and it does get a bit confusing if you don't keep up with it.

Liverpool 'relent' over £30m Alonso

Thursday, 23 July 2009
Spanish midfielder Alonso is reportedly looking for an exit from Anfield

Real Madrid are closing in on the transfer of Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the La Liga giants for most of the summer, and reports today suggest a deal could be reaching its conclusion.

Real have reportedly increased their bid to £30m, with sources in Spain suggesting that Liverpool will relent considering the sizeable sum the Spanish club are willing to pay.

There are also reports that Manchester City and Chelsea are showing signs of interest now that Alonso has indicated he wishes to leave Anfield.

Alonso missed Liverpool's match against Thailand yesterday, but his representatives insist it was nothing suspicious and that he was suffering from a sprained ankle.

It's not in his hands at all. He is contracted to us and has 3 years left so it is up to the club and Rafa to deem whether that offer is good enough or not.

Stand back GYBS, I'll save you a job mate, leave it to me.

AHEM!!!!!!!!

Where are the quotes though? Once again we are believing some journalist rahter than our manager  It's all (all together now) "SPECULATION!!!!".

How do you know that Xabi even wants to leave anyway, how do you knwo he's even got a Spanish passport, have you seen it? Have you been in on conversations between Rafa and Xabi? No, so lets just all wait and see what happens, don't believe any rumours!!!!!!

BTW I've heard a bloke off RAWK says he knows a bloke who once cleaned Mash's windows best mate, and he says Mash is actually Italian. This is 100% true by all accounts so at least Mash is staying anyway.

There you go mate  :)
