Wasn't sure what to make of this to be honest. For a post apocalyptic scenario, I suppose it's fairly realistic in it's narrative, but it felt really shallow in most parts. There were a few interesting - if not grim - concepts being touched on such as canibalism, which is probably what would go on should something (and it's not clear what really happened) like an end of the world event ever take place. It's not a bad watch, but for me it just didn't have that much depth to it. Disappointed. Oh, and ever there were to be a Fallout film to be made, this would be the closest thing to it. The tone just reminded me so much of that game.

Was really looking forward to it myself EM. Watched it last night.

Kept wondering where is this tale going ?, let's face it, we've all seen "post apocylaptic" movies before, when the credits came up my question was answered. Storywise this went absolutely Nowhere !.

Honestly saw it as a pointless excercise other than that the dvd will hit the supermaket shelves soon and the "producers" with a bit of hype will make some money.

Exactly, yeah. They spent the whole film trying to get somewhere, and when they got there it was actually nowhere, and then it ended. Even Mrs Theron in that was wasted. Like why was she even in it? She popped the sprog and then walked out into the dark to die? Didn't even make any sense whatsoever. Watch it get critical acclaim, though, because it's one of those artsy kind of shows where you're supposed to read between the lines. Funny how the likes of Avatar gets absolutely ripped into for it's story, where there is absolutely none to be had in shows with hype such as this.

:D , C'mon Baz, think I gave Visitor Q a 10/10.

(if it was less than that it was only because it was in Japanese  :D )

well i watched The Road and it wasnt as bad as i though it was going to be, i managed to watch till the end so it did something for me. :D

Finally got around to watching Avatar today and what can i say, fooking brilliant,  me and my lad loved every minute of it, took me a week to convince the other half to go with us and she is not usually keen on this type of movie but she loved it aswell which is praise indeed, one of my fears was the 3D being over the top but it wasnt at all, its visually stunning to watch, i would recommend it to anyone, roll on Avatar 2

Saw Lovely Bones tonight and quite liked it.  The reviewers are harping on about the CGI but, feck em, I liked it.

Daybreakers.

Hmm, what can I say. It's fairly mediocre stuff and treads on ground that's been trod on a houndred or more times before it. You just get that feeling of been there, done that, wore the f*cking T-Shirt, and just want it to conclude. Not a good feeling watchng any show, but I suppose it would make a good watch on TV when nothing else is on eventually. The TV commercial bills it as "It's the Matrix" and "28 Days Later". Odd that. Because that is actually an insult to those two films, as there is absolutely none of both in here.
