Well done Aquaman

Looking forward to watching Aqua in the Gerrard role in the next few weeks..

And today he came on the pitch at 83 mins and later set up the attack that led to kuyt hitting the post.

The corollary to that though, is that he was largely anonymous against Reading....

Very true, but you cant single him out. The entire team was largely anonymous except for Lucas and Gerrard.

True right back at ya...

BUT...

Aquaman cost 20M. He's supposed to have something more about him than some of the others out there....

In fairness to the player, he didn't put that pricetag on his head.  Rafa did.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

In a team that was full of anonymity..

I wonder if Rafa actually goes to watch these players or it's all hearsay. You have to question some of his buys

his best 7 minutes for liverpool yet, gave two lovely passes to kuyt and maxi and generally looked quicker than before, (though that may be as he was fresher than the rest)

maybe i'm just clutching at straws :D

His best game yet in my opinion. Looked more comfortable in the attacking midfielder role, gave some really nice touches and a nice layoff for Kuyt.

Faded a little bit as the game went on but probably due to his fitness still not being right.

he's still got to improve, he was never going to come here and set the world alight, it was always going to take time. There's still a lot of settling to do for the lad. Looks promising now but there's a lot more potential there.

Just hoping some of the people who have slated him (directly or indirectly) give him the time he deserves. He's a red, and is going to be for a while
