Dont think many clues were offered up - think we just have to go at it the same way we did the first game and the game againist madrid and the games against chelsea . What we did see is that they give chances to opposing teams and we need to take those chances unlike what adriano and ibrahimovich did.

There's GYBS telling me to check back and find out who said hypocracy first, and now your telling me to shush because I only see one side of things. I can see as many sides as you want, but fancied having a yarn about football before I went to bed, that's all

Still, it obviously ain't gonna happen. I'm tired out anyway so the truth is the pair of you are probably doing me a favour. In the morning, (Friday night for you guys) the magic mushrooms or whatever else you've collectively devoured will have worn off and we can all get back to it. In the meantime, remember, you can't fly really there isn't a crocodile crawling out of your Big Mac. Cool though, I'm actually jealous that I didn't get any. Laters.

But "ssssshhh" is a funny gesture no? I learned that in this thread. That's the point I was making.

If it's not, it's good to know, because Mourinho did that to our supporters.

Can you show me though, where have I behaved like that in other threads this weeks in the football discussion?

I think there is a lot of hypocrisy being shown both to matters on and off the pitch. We complain about Ronaldo diving, yet no mention (that I have seen) was made about Gerrards dive against Madrid. We complain about teams that wave imaginary cards, yet when Masch waves one we immediately find we have a blind spot. Alonso makes a "professional foul" and ensures a Madrid move ends with a freekick rather than a chance, and the outcry is deafening .......silence.

We buy players that are known troublemakers or at the very least have a somewhat chequered past and then are surprised when they cause problems.

We have a manager that at the very least has made some peculiar statements to the press, that maybe , just maybe show that the eye is not quite on the ball as it should be. Strange decisions that cost points are defended to the hilt. Strange statements about players contracts are dismissed, strange transfers that leave us short of cover are put aside.

Yes there is a lot of hypocrisy on here sometimes.

Think there will always be some sort of Hypocrisy when it comes to suppporting a football club mate - you will always have that blind spot for your own team players etc and naturally defend them .

Just to clarify from last night, I wasn't in the least bit, not even the tinsiest bit offended. Just fancied a chat about football that's all. As far as the shhhhh thing is concerned, it's right it's not an offensive gesture in English. For instance and returning to the topic title, the other night when Inter commited the cardinal sin against the mancs of conceding early, Mourinho was constantly deafened with "sit down Mourinho, sit down Mourinho. Sit down Mourinho, sitdown Mourinho" (they are very inventive those Manc fans, you gotta give em that). Now had Inter equalised, I'd have been shushing with him all the way. They wouldn't have liked it, but I would have thought it was funny as feck to be honest.

Anyway as far as their performance against the Mancs goes, I think GYBS is right we didn't really learn that much. Not that much other than the fact that the Manc team isn't anywhere near as good as the media is making out. Better finishing from an average Italian team could have given the Mancs huge problems, and despite being on top they still let Inter in to hit the woodwork twice. We also learnt what a good player that Maicon bloke is (the right back). Feck me he's a monster footballer that lad, and is playing in the wrong league. Ibrhamovic? Not worth feck all, a pretty boy who isn't pretty.

for me he just proved lando's point,like it or not maureen is overated end of. it just shows the bu11sh1t hype the press here gave him so he just played it back to try & live with the pressure of managing an english prem team, 'the special one' my @rse he's coming under pressure again which he fecking can't hack for me that's why he's made another rod for his own back by anouncing he would love to be back in the prem one day, first things first- after you leave the prem as a manager the only thing next is second best. which is what he has got in italy, so why would i want him to come back to this country to manage the club i love, cause i really, really wouldn't want that to happen! forget seeing beyond his personality- for me he is all full of front & bu11sh1t!

iv'e said it before & will say it again, for me i can't see anyone better than raffa to manage LFC, but that's what opinion's are all about isn't it! maureen has done nothing to impress me,never has & if that shows hypocrisy on my part then so be it.

Sabre i wasnt implying that YOU were the one going around ruining threads i was just pointing out that many threads seem to go down in the exact same way with people seemingly wanting to argue about the pettiest of matters..
not a dig at you or anything but personally i would have found the "shh" remark offensive and out of order but then again it wasnt aimed at me so fair play to mick taking it the way he has....

back on topic... i find mourinho to be pretty funny... English League was alot better when he was around imo and way more competitive aswell.. brilliant character and a great manager

) and I think the thread if read through pretty much proves that to anyone who looks at it without prejudice. His record is laid out, and like him or not he's been a fantastically successful manager wherever he's operated.

To be honest, with a different bounce of the ball they could concieveably have given Manchester United a big problem. They hit the post twice, and did manage to draw in the other match which not many others have done.

It's true that Inter brought Mourinho in to win the Champions League, feeling that they would probably win Serie A anyway. Well they will win Serie A obviously as they probably are the best team, and Mourinho does generally win the league wherever he is. Unfortunately though, like Real Madrid they haven't got past the quarter finals for a number of years now, and even the arrival of Mourinho couldn't buck that trend. That said, Man Utd being the holders and probable English Champions was never going to be easy, and they certainly didn't roll over like a couple of other teams in the last 16 did. Getting beat 11-1 on aggregate or whatever it was is unbelieveable, while it would be hard to argue Madrid put up too much resistence once it looked beyond them either.

Contrary to "proving" anything negative about Mourinho, when he brought Adriano on with half an hour left and he hit the inside of the post with Van Der Sar beaten it simply proved to me that it wasn't going to be his night. As his team fought till the very end (with the exception of Ibtrahovic who well and truly chucked the towel in) it showed that he has lost none of his man management skills.

I actually hope he goes to Man City next season. Firstly because I'd like to see him back in English football, he's a top manager and it's the top league, and secondly because I'd like to see how he goes there. My guess is if he goes there they'll challenge very strongly for the top four. Mind you, if he buys any players people will simply say that he's "bought it"

Jose Mourinho will reportedly raid the Premier League this summer as Inter Milan attempt to build a squad capable of challenging in Europe as well as in Serie A.

The Mirror claims Mourinho has been told his own job is safe, and that he will be given a £100 million transfer kitty. Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby and Tottenham’s Jermaine Jenas are among those linked with Inter.

Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho, Mourinho’s two former Chelsea lieutenants, are also reported to be in the Nerazzurri’s wishlist.
