Regardless of the Fiorentina result and whether or not they heard the result, the players should have pulled their finger out of their backside and show some form of committment to the club. But no, another half-@ssed performance because as they know, it will be rafa to get it in the neck. Nobody was played out of position, nobody was asked to play a role they are not familiar with, and yet they performed as if they just couldnt wait to get home.
Blame rafa's tactics by all means (aquilani for one) but also have a good look at the players.

I agree mate, it was almost as if they were just going through the motions rather than trying to get us back on track.
Souness once accused his players of trying to get him the sack with a performance not much worse than that one.

Replace Torres with N'gog, then compare the performance. That team was good enough to comfortably beat united and yet struggle against debrecen. Is this rafas attitude at fault here? or the players?
Constraints that the manager has placed upon them? last night the only constraint was, your without torres.

As for people who slag the competition off, all of Ajax, Anderlecht, Valencia, Hamburg, Sporting Lisbon, Roma, Galatasaray, Villarreal, Fenerbahce, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven and Werder Bremen are in it.
The last time we won it we beat Barcelona, Porto, Roma and Olympiakos.
I'd love to win the competition personally.
