I think a good part of the Lucas diagnostic says "fear to make mistakes", but I don't think the captain has anything to do with it.
We've seen simply too many players overwhelmed by the pressure of a massive club.
A game like the Manchester Utd one though is precisely the kind of game he needed to shake those fears. Let's see if he does definitely and for once because this is the season he has to prove himself.
With everyone saying he had no chance against the Mancs he was the figure head for the teams plight. So it was fitting that it would be him to say "feck you, I'll show you we are better than you think", and he did. He was the most influential player on the field and was most instramental in the result. Others played well but he was the most influential, not bad for a guy with two left feet. He may have bad games in the future but this will always remind him he is good enough. He played like he was proving a point and the team benefited.
