Jack Black - Year One.  Don't bother , almost insulting that this is offered up as "comedy" .

I really cannot remember one of his films i found funny.

All he does is stand there shaking his head, bugling his eyes out and looking fat.

not funny.

the trailers alone made me want to avoid that
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Paranormal Activity. Billed as one of the scariest movies ever. I dunno, maybe the unseen doesn't scare me that much, I fell asleep.  The missus, a fan of "ghost" movies sat through it and reckons it was seriously scary.

Just watched Moon starring Sam Rockwell ,recommend this as one to watch ,Rockwell is superb and the stories concept is truly original, simply Sci -Fi at its best .

It wasn't bad, though I was a bit disappointed with it as I thought it was going to a bit more clever and deeper than what it is. Maybe it was just a bit too short, but I found it slightly too predicable. The moral of it was different, though. Actually pretty sad once he realizes the full scope of what's actually going on.

Anyone seen that 'Away Day's yet? It's about football hooligans in 70's Liverpool. Watching it now, quite good so far.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Just watched another Brit gangster movie The Crew complete with dodgy Liverpool accents.

All the elements are in there but so some reason it just comes across as training match with a predictable ending and no real stars giving a shining performance bit like a Carling cup tie

New Avatar Trailer.

In the last 9 years, only the LoTR's trilogy and 300 looked interesting enough for me to go to the cinema. This is up there with LoTR's for anticipation. Looks outstanding. Love the creature designs and the setting. I think Hollywood has been sorely lacking this kind of imagination. Can't wait to see it. My cup of tea indeed.
