Ive just watched Drag Me to Hell. It takes a lot nowadays to get me to watch a movie as they are all nowadays just so appalling. My sister in law rated this as one of the scariest films she has seen in years and also a long time friend of mine switched it off as he was scared. So naturally, I watched it. Ive watched the entire film, and my question is, wheres the scary bit? All I recognise from this film, which scares people are the loud noises that suddenly appear. Whenever the old girl appears the volume goes up a few notches, and even then its not scary, its just annoying.

A quote from my mate, "the car park bit scared the sh!t out of me". Yeah? bored me senseless. Awful film. Its not scary in the slightest, it never had me gripped and I certainly regret watching this tripe. Ive decided here and now, im going to stick with the tried and tested older films, at least I know what im getting with them.

For some strange reason, there are no torrents or streams of this film online anywhere. Was trying to watch it last night and instead watched The Hurt Locker instead based off the high scores it got on rottontomatoes.com. It scored a very high 98% on there based off almost 300 reviews, so I was expecting something really great. It wasn't. Was average at best with some tense scenes that were few and far between. Would love to know where they got the 98% from. That's an almost perfect film, and like I say, it was just average at best.

Don't think it's out on DVD yet Red. So...no torrents or DDL's yet.

Finally got round to watching "The Hurt Locker" , whilst not a great film it's certainly a very good one, possibly the best "War in Iraq" film i've seen.

Che (part one), I'm a fan of Benicio Del Toro and was really looking forward to this two part movie about the Argentinian revolutionary Che Guevara. The movie was interesting enough from a historical standpoint but as far as the characters are concerned lacking any real depth or emotion. Still to watch part two, I'm hoping at some point the film becomes more that a somewhat dry documentary.

Started to watch "Gamer " the other night , guess the title should have tipped me off, what a pile of sh'ite, turned it off after 15 minutes, was surprised it took me that long ! .

Gamer, ah, yes! You did exactly the same thing I did, Woof: turned the shyte off after about 15 minutes. Hurt Locker was OK, nothing great, but the ratings it got on Rottentomatoes were just a little bit ridiculous, making it sound like the perfect film almost.

I went to watch Inglourious Basterds the other day, not quite knowing what to expect.

If your a big fan of war movies and speak French or German,  its an amazing film - the way they explain any unnessecary changes in language, the references to old war movies, the excellent costumes and the down right fantasy involved - its only in the last chapter or so you realise that its a complete work of fiction as opposed to being based on true stories, as many modern war films are. Some absolutely excellent performances from the French and German actors, although I've no doubt they will not recieve half the paper columns the Yank actirs will (although Eli Roth was pretty damn good).

Totally agreed on Che part 1!
I was really disappointed, was looking forward to it and all it done was exactly what it said on the tin,JUST told the story...nothing exciting if you know even the basics of what happened!I guess people will say well what more do you want than to be told the story?...Simply put,a decent movie could have been made out of the biggest revolution in modern times, this did'nt do that
Dont even think I'll bother getting Part 2!

Watched a French horror movie last night called "Frontiers" .

A group of on the run petty criminals end up at a small hotel run by Nazi Cannibals :D . If you're a fan of gory horror the movie's a definite must see. I agree with the critic who said

"It's like watching a movie made by Madmen, it;s that good"

I watched a thing on DVD the other night with the Mrs and it had Liam Neeson in it. Feck knows what it was called but he was like a retired special ops kind of bloke (just for a change like) and his daughter got kidknapped in France by these Albo's (don't know if they're actually called that but anyway). So anyway Liam flies over from the States and sorts the feckers out. Not the most intricate plot, but an enjoyable little film nontheless.

Haven't seen it Cig but just checked out some reviews. All fans of horror rate it very highly.

from B'loody Disgusting .com/film

"MARTYRS is this year's INSIDE, both films are legendary in their own right... By the end of the film MARTYRS becomes immensely uncomfortable, and making it through the final 30 minutes is a tough task".

Martyrs trailer

Will deffo try and DL it this weekend.

Saw the Liam Neeson movie Mick, "Taken" , not a bad film but somehow Neeson, to me at least, didn't seem to be the right man for the part.
