Its like that Bruce Forsyth thingy when he mentioned that the people should get a sense of humour. Someone said the woman on the show took offense to "you look like a paki". The question is, what did she take offense to? the word paki itself or the fact that she looked like one ?

Puffing billys and teh smell of hot tar.

Steam rollers.

Bin men taking your bin out and putting it back.

Twice daily mail deliveries.

Open roads without traffic.

Knowing everyone in your road with their doors always open to walk in.

Allowing the kids to go out alone and not to worry about whether they're safe.

My childhood in the 60's and 70's was carefree, its a pity I cant offer my kids the same.......
