Being interviewed on the radio after the game...
Interviewer: 'Well Rooney will be earning a lot more than you got when you were 18.'
Holloway: 'too right, there was no way I could afford to see a prostitute every week.'
Followed by a long silence...

Holloway is a complete legend.
Last year he gave an interview after a game where his QPR side ground out a boring 1-0 against one of the relegation fodder of the 2nd division.
He was challenged that despite winning, QPR were very poor.
He said that being a football manager is like going out on the pull in a nightclub. He said that sometimes you pull an absolute stunner, go home and sleep with her, but other times you get drunk, meet some "fat minger", bring her home and do the business, and despite the two scenarios being chalk and cheese, the end result is the same!
