Whatever you do, do NOT watch Gamer. I'm not even going to describe how bad it is. Well, yeah, I am actually. I felt like turning it off after just 10 minutes, watched it a tiny bit more after that, then mercifully the stream cut off about 20 minutes in. Embarrassing.

Not your typical cheese that's coming out of Hollywood these days; no real big name actors to speak of; the setting is in South Africa, and it's all the more refreshing for it. Special effects are amazing also.

8.7 for me.

Just used to rating things like that from reading review scores in magazines and online sites like games magazines etc. I consider anything of a 9 and beyond to be very good, but I found District 9 to be just short of that IMO.  :)

For some strange reason, there are no torrents or streams of this film online anywhere. Was trying to watch it last night and instead watched The Hurt Locker instead based off the high scores it got on rottontomatoes.com. It scored a very high 98% on there based off almost 300 reviews, so I was expecting something really great. It wasn't. Was average at best with some tense scenes that were few and far between. Would love to know where they got the 98% from. That's an almost perfect film, and like I say, it was just average at best.

Watched Bloodline last night, documentary about finding Mary Magdeline's tomb. Quite good as unlikemost of these type of documentaries it didn't leave you feeling cheated at the end. Although I would have dug down rather than just pushing my camera down the hole lol.

personally i loved it... but its the kind of film you need to see at the cinema, not like some gyppo in your bedroom on your laptop

Its clever, funny, great action, looks realistic but doesnt shove the sancimony down your throat

Very good film, and only cost 30million? Michael Bay couldnt shoot a music video for that much

District 9 ?

Absolute f'ucking bollox !

I do however have to agree with Dawsinio , it is the kind of movie you should see at the cinema, there at least you have the opportunity to throw you're popcorn at the other two people in the audience and demand you're money back.

Absolute sh'ite.
