I don't think I've ever read a bigger pack of lies than this post.

Firstly Kaka didn't score.
Secondly Milan didn't score after Masch was brought off.

Inzaghi scored twice on the 44th and 74th minute before Masch was brought off on the 78th minute.

Maybe you think the match was played in Zagreb?

Yes its wrong that mate. Inzaghi's second was scored minutes after Masch went off mate. Masch and Alonso had hardly given Kaka a kick up to that point, but as soon as Masch went off Kaka made the goal for Inzaghi.

Just checking boys that you were all on the ball. Fortunately you are, I'll try again in a few months time to make sure you know the other wrong "facts" I slip into conversation.

Liverpool started the season convinced they could end their 20-year wait for the title.

But former player Nigel Spackman has warned the Red Army that they’ll once again be fighting a losing battle.

Spackman knows what it takes to win the title for the Anfield giants, having been part of the brilliant 1987-88 side, with John Barnes and Peter Beardsley, that marched to glory.

With Rafa Benitez’s boys only just failing to pip Manchester United to top spot last season, hopes were high that this year Steven Gerrard and Co could emulate the great Liverpool sides of the late 1980s.

But after an awful start, which has seen them lose two of their first four games, Spackman has warned it could get even worse.

“Crisis is a very strong word, but I do think Liverpool have problems,” Spackman, in Dubai as guest pundit for Orbit Showtime, told 7DAYS.

“Going into the season they’d have been thinking now’s a great chance to win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years.

“But If they had lost the game against Bolton (on Saturday) they would have found themselves nine points off the top, and that, even at this early stage of the season, is an awful lot to make up.”

Having already lost as many games this season as they did throughout the whole of last year’s campaign, Spackman says the club had better revise the scope of its ambition.

“At the moment Liverpool are stuttering along and that’s not good enough to challenge for the title.

“The club have to be really careful that the likes of Man City and Spurs don’t put a run together. Arsenal are capable of doing that as well. The main thing for me now is that Liverpool must ensure they get into next year’s Champions League.”

As anti-climaxes go this season could be right up there with the arrival at Anfield of misfit midfielder Lucas, Andrea Dossena and Ryan Babel. And Spackman is in no doubt who should take the blame.

He said:   “The buck stops with the manager - he’s had a lot of money to spend and the club are going backwards.

“Having let Xabi Alonso go they lack creativity in the middle of the park, and the balance within the team and squad just isn’t there at the moment. If Torres got injured, how do you change it around? Do you play Kuyt up front or move Babel there?

“There’s a lack of direction at the club and the strength-in-depth isn’t good enough to challenge for the title.”

a fair point apart fro m the fact that we challenged for the title last season with virtually the same squad

i don't see much difference in our performances at the beginning of last season  compared to those now - we were absolute shi te but managed to luck some wins and this season we've not had that bit of luck

i agree we need to find form, but the majority of fans (myself included) were moaning last year about how dodgy we were all the way til our great run in the last 1/3 of the season

In fairness it's not true to say we challenged with virtually the same squad. We had Keane for the first half of the season, and although he was much maligned he played lots of matches. Equally, we had a fully fit Alonso who is not in any way shape or form comparable to Lucas (as we already knew) and Hyppia. Yes Johnson has improved us for sure at right back, but there is no doubt in my mind that as of now the squad is weaker than the one which started last season. Aquilani may close the gap once he's fit, but there is a gap there for me, no doubt about it.

Spackman was s**t in his prime, his managerial career was worse so it's no surprise he talks s***e as well.

Firstly if we'd lost to Bolton. Well so what, we didn't. If me aunty had b******s she'd be me uncle, but she hasn't. If Chelsea had lost to Burnley, Fulham, Hull and Sunderland we'd be six points ahead of them. But they won, like we did against Bolton, so saying if is f*****g pointless Spackman.

Secondly Lucas a midfield misfit? Well if anybody should know it'd be Spackman. He was a joke of a player, no wonder we f****d him off after two years.

Finally again it's if. If Torres gets injured, well what if he doesn't? And if he does so what he got injured last year and we still came close. And what if Drogba gets injured who are precious old Chelsea gonna replace him with? Salamon Kalou? Very frightening thought isn't it? Please Drogba stay fit because otherwise we'd have to put up with the overly prolific Kalou.

Get a f*****g grip Spackman. Actually you've got a grip haven't you, of your c**k and you're pulling it as fast as you can over Chelsea. Well carry on because the Mighty Reds will have the last laugh when Stevie picks up the Premiership in May. And don't worry Spackers, there won't be an invitation for you to join in the celebrations.

Up to 31st August

08/09 : P5 W3 D2 L0 F4 A1 (includes two CL qualifiers)
09/10 : P4 W2 D0 L2 F9 A7

We were not convincing last season, needing extra time to put a single (Kuyt) goal past Standard Liege in CL qualifying and only just scraping past Sunderland (1-0) and Boro (2-1), needing a late own goal and even later Gerrard winner to manage that, while only drawing away 0-0 at villa.

But I'd take last season's unconvincing over this season's, more control even if less goals were scored. Maybe the difference purely is in results, but to win the league plenty say you have to win when not playing well and so far we've not executed that adage well. Despite our start to the season, we've only won one less game than at this point last season. We didn't beat the only decent opposition we faced last season either, drawing with villa as opposed to losing to villa and spudz this season, so maybe had we faced someone like spudz as well last season then that start would have looked poorer too.

yeah that's what i'm getting at  -  i remember a lot of moans up until xmas even, that it didn't feel like we'd got into a run of good, convincing form yet (were we top of the league?  )
