Liverpool fans were shocked to learn that Benfica had signed Israeli winger Yossi Benayoun last night. But in a funny twist of events, it was later discovered that Benfica's official website had been hacked and there was no truth in the story.
This is a link to the Benayoun transfer on the Benfica website. But if you replace "Yossi Benayoun", with any other name in the link, say "Cristiano Ronaldo", then the news will read that Ronaldo has signed for Benfica. So basically, this means that you can even announce yourself as the next big signing for Benfica.
So, it was all a big joke in the end, but Liverpool fans were not laughing last night when the story broke. Click here to taste a sample of that reaction. However, we do warn you that there is more than a little profanity on this site and those of you offended by (or too young) to read four letter words should stay away.
