Maybe they are using a little problem in the medical to hammer down the price a little more ?

Just read this on AS.com thought I would share:

The article basically insinuates that Aquilani isn't happy about coming to Liverpool, when he landed at Heathrow he said "he wanted the tifosi to know that he didn't want to leave (roma)".

Totti is also reported in this article to have said "it is a disgrace that Roma have sold Aquilani, as he loves this club blah blah blah"

I know the press twist things to make a story but My question is this how can a player who is not 100% comited fair in a new team + the PL??? players find it difficult enough when they give it their all, but will alquilini???

I hope he is a success!

maybe it's because he would not be able to bonk his missus as often as he does back in rome... Rafa would've put a leash on that knowing how all his injuries were caused...

Is it me or our all or most of our transfer dealings long-winded and complicated.
Other teams just seem to step in and buy someone. maybe it's because we are watching and posting on forums like this but it just seems 'hard work' year after year, Barry/Alonso and now possible issue with Alberto's move.

this deal was agreed pretty much within 24 hours of selling Alonso

Welcome. The opposite of being loyal to your life time club is perhaps Abreu, the Uruguay international that have been in 14 teams in his career. I wouldn't want that kind of player either.

Sometimes you don't want to leave, but the club wants to sell you. I see no problem in a player saying he wouldn't want to move, and I wouldn't have doubts about his commitment in his new club.

The most relevant bit about the AS article is that Totti is píssed off because he loses a team mate he appreciates.

Hopefully thats just in case Lucas decides to go, or maybe even as a 3rd or 4th choice midfielder. If the Aquilani transfer goes t!ts up I hope we will be looking for a little higher profile player myself.

Next thing there'll be an achknowledged expert from Guys hospital saying "he failed the medical and unfortunately, we are going to have to amputate his left leg", before GYBS says 'but where are the quotes from the player?'. For all we know he could be a plant, who isn't a doctor at all.

Disclaimer:-I'm onluy kidding, I'm sure he will pass the medical and the superiority of our medical staff, particularly in the area of ensuring that recurring injuries don't occur, will ensure that Aquillani never gets to take Agger on in a game of draughts, or Deggen, or Aurelio for that matter.
