Welcome aboard Alberto #2.  I've seen this lad play for Roma only a couple of times in the CL last season but he looked kwality.  Here's hoping he settles in nicely and helps push us on to bigger and better things.

Been watching this guys highlights on Youtube, looks like he'll surge from midfield a lot more than Xavi, rather than pass it around.  could give us a different options going forward.

If youtube says that's what he does... then that's what he does!!!

The most important thing is that he settles in well, since that could be a problem. Italians(for example Dossena) have in the past shown a desire to move back home if things don't pan out and they don't settle in.

Right now he is only talking about how sad he is to be leaving Roma.

"I regret that I am moving on," he said to the Corriere dello Sport on Thursday.

"The words from Francesco Totti? I thank him, because he is a great player. He is also a great friend and to hear him say those phrases is nice. I was always a fan of Rome and still am."

I can understand these comments but at the same time I want
him to want to come to LFC. Unless he starts settle in and loving LFC he will akways be thinking about home.

Riera.
---------------------------

I'm reasonably optimistic about the guy. His injuries seem to be mainly thigh/ankles, which at first sight wouldn't appear to be as concerning as a history of knee/hamstring injuries. He may just need to strengthen up and at 25 he could be a bit of a late developer?

That aside, at first sight, there appear to be few doubts about his raw ability - which is most important. It obviously takes considerably more than that though to be a success; we have to hope he can get to grips with the physical side of the game, the mental demands of a new club, league and culture. Perhaps then it might be an idea to keep Dossena here 'til January to help the lad settle in?   :D

I think the Doss is going to be here for a while mate to tell the truth. Unless he leaves last seasons debacle well behind, I don't think there are going to be too many teams queueing up to buy him. Certainly not for anything like what we paid for him anyway.

Quit while you are ahead lakes ffs! :D

no, he is a rush buy due to our manager :censored: off our best player of last year so much he left.

look we all know this new guy will turn ok to be ok but i still mad that one of our best players left due to Rafa getting it wrong.

the way i see it is that our first real game of the year could turn into a right kicking for us as it has two players in it that would love to show Rafa how wrong he was.
