His mate works in a bank in the city centre and Taylor is with one of their major reps that represent both LFC and EFC.

my guess is everton. if man city fail in bid for terry, they'll go straight for lescott, and may even go for lescott anyway. us on the other hand, I cant see him coming here to be 4th choice.

Rumours picking up....

Liverpool are preparing a surprise bid for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young should they sell Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid. Young would cost the lion's share of the £30m fee they receive for Alonso and Anfield is a far more likely destination for the ex-Watford man than Spurs, which would surely be a sideways move at best.

where's that from Reg?

I bet there's no truth in it at all... just the usual journo cr@p, now that villa have bought downing, they'll automatically link young with a move to us, then prob arsenal, utd, spurs, chelsea, madrid.... yada yada yada

Here is some stuff I found on the lfc.tv forums.

Alonso will be sold :The initial £26m fee will include additional bonus payments to LFC, appearance dependant, reaching a possible £29m total.:

There is a deal in negotiation with Valencia over David Villa and David Silva. 40mil plus - A.Riera, A.Voronin, D Pacheco (loan)

the valencia deal sounds ridiculous, although I would love it :D

RVN was pouring in the goals before he got hurt, and he has prem experience as well. couldn't be demanding to play in every game, but is good enough to be relied on to knick a few goals when Torres gets a knock

Dont they all play in different positions the players you mentioned  ???

Zarate and young can play on the left , aquliani is a midfielder , and we can always put stevie back there if required and let yossi play of torres or even zarate who can play as a 2nd striker and a left midfielder. Aquilani has 9 goals in 102 games for roma and is plagued by injuries quite often

As for van horseface he'd be a quality cover even at 33 , he's still got about 2 more seasons left in him , 150 goals in 220 apperances for manure is a brilliant record and he's got 45 in 60 odd games for real madrid . I think he'd cost around 5 to 6 million at most ?

I know Rafa was intersted in him when he was at Watford(cos he told me :D )but If we sold Xabi the money woud go towards his replacement as rafa would want to fill his position more than any other.
