you've probably all read on sky sports news that Adam Johnson is staying with Boro- end of story. We'll this is all bollox, as far as Boro are concerned Adam is staying but as far as Adam is concerned if a big club makes an offer he likes he will put in transfer request. He does not want to stay in the lower league. He is trying so hard to get noticed for the England team he feels he needs to play for a big 4 club. Chelsea have been poking there noses in a bit recently but he doesn't want to live in London, he would choose LFC over mancs utd or city.

He has a problem with Gareth Southgate. big personality clashes off the pitch, thats why southgate only gives Adam bench warming duties.

'Fek him' was the answer when I asked him what kind of manager Gareth is. :laugh:

Arsenal and Manchester City are in talks over the transfer of Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Sky Sports News reports that the Arsenal hitman is set to start contract talks with the Eastlands side.

Adebayor has been linked with a move away from the Gunners with reported interest from Barcelona and AC Milan.

However, it appears Manchester City have stolen a march on their rivals by agreeing a £20 million fee.

City manager Mark Hughes is desperate to bring in quality names, and has been chasing Chelsea and England captain John Terry, as he attempts to kick-start his Eastlands revolution.

Sky Sports also report that the transfer of former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez is nearing completion.

It is believed that Tevez has opted to move to the city rivals of his former club over a switch to Chelsea.

I would say 7 is a good price for him. I was really happy when they were being linked with him for something around 20, which would have not been appropriate, and should be saved for someone like Pato, Douglas Costa is certainly no Pato. Big Boom or Bust potential, and certainly offers nothing for a couple of seasons, he barely even plays for Gremio, Lucas was playing all the time.

That's the difference between us and them. We don't have 7Mil to spend on a kid who may not make it where as they can. If we had more disposable cash we could maybe but not in our current state.

The Scummers haven't signed anyone at all and certainly not Costa for £7mil (get real folks).

Old whiskey nose has just confirmed that Owen, Valencia & the Obertan kid are the only signings they will make this summer!!!

They are there for the taking next season if this is actually true as there squad is far weaker than last year!!!
