It' strange seeing the guy touted as one of the best players in world football when you consider he was seen as a stifled talent at Galatasaray. Not many with his level of ability emerge so late on the world stage. You had it with Deco at Porto and Arshavin at Zenit both around 26/27 (similar to Ribery) before going on to make names for themselves.

Hes a very very good player but totally over rated if people think he's worth 50-60 million....one of the best in the world?
That depends on how many "best players" there are in the world.
Real Madrid have fu'cked the whole show up this year with their pathetic flaunting of cash buying Kaka and Ronaldo....
If that would not have happened NO ONE would be suggesting that scarface was worth or should cost 40,50 or 60 million, its an absolutely ridiculous fee for him..and where people draw it from baffles me!

If Ribery is worthy of a price like that, what the fu'ck is Gerrard worth??

I fuc'king hate Real Madrid,I hate the way they get banks money on a whim and can do what they want,I hate they way they patronise clubs with pathetic bids for players,I hate all they are and stand for!
I want the bas'tards in the C/L this year, quarters or semis will do fine...and we will knock the kunts out and back down to earth!

Nanny Red- why so confident about Ribery?

You been in touch with wlesh Wizard? :D or is it a source that's a tad more believable?

And what due diligence are you on about in the G & H thread?

Real Madrid Receive €20million Offer For Negredo From Premier League Club - Report

An unidentified English club has submitted a bid for Alvaro Negredo, but the smart money is on Liverpool or Tottenham...

Alvaro Negredo has started training with Real Madrid, but it remains unlikely that he will still be at the club next season.

Los Merengues have exercised their buy-back option to bring him back from Almeria, but it seems their intention is still to sell him on.

According to AS, the club has just received an offer of around €20million for Negredo from an unnamed English club. Liverpool are interested in the striker, and Madrid are trying to include him in the deal for Xabi Alonso.

Tottenham have also expressed an interest in the past.

However, Negredo has options in Spain too, with Valencia, Villarreal and Sevilla all considering making a move if and when they lose one of their strikers.

Negredo was also reported to be a target for Porto recently.

is Negredo any good?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

yes

good size about him, good finisher, good header, decent at involving others in play.  I don't think he would have any problem with the physicality of the premier league given a bit of time for initial adjustment.

What a load of b0ll0cks, HIV is not that infectious, not from a woman to a man through sex anyway, they would all 6 have had to be humping away on her many many times to all be infected but maybe they did, who knows.
In any case HIV is quite easy to keep in check these days through drugs, full blown aids is a bit tricker.
Horrible disease though and not worth making jokes about when there are millions dying from it thoughout the world, not that I think you were.

Negredo is good, in his recent 2yr spell at Alemeria he scored 32 goals playing 70 games which is almost a goal every other game. Apparentely his nickname is La fiera de Vallecas (The wild animal of Vallecas)  :buttrock
