Definitely one of the best midfielders in the world... Dont think theyd ever sell him to be honest... What kind of fee would they want for him anyways ?! If alonso is 30mill then im thinking Essien is atleast 50... cant see anyone paying that kind of money for him regardless of how good he is.. Probably just looking for a wage rise if hes not already one their top earners ...

Albiol was sh!te last season for valencia , the mistakes he made were baffling , he may strengthen their defense but he's still a average defender at best , thank god we didn't sign him

Personally the fact that Albiol doesn't have a spleen would put me off signing him for big money (he had a serious car accident when he was younger). His ability to fight infection is seriously diminished and his risk of fatal illness is much higher than the general population. It is certainly worth considering when you consider what players are bought and sold for these days and what they get paid in wages.

Well the thing about him is he can play anywhere across the back four and i think madrid are paying for his versatility , i wouldn't be surprised if he was used as a left back as madrid have garay coming back and their left back options are rather limited , drenthe , marcelo , heinze , all who are good at going forward but :censored:

He could have been a good little player for us , has scored goals wherever he has been except madrid where he hasn't been given a fair chance really . Wouldn have loved to see him here and for 5 million it won't be such a huge risk as well

Not really a reliable source and i'll onyl believe it when the transfer window closes , valencia are a joke of a club however , one minute he is for sale , the next he isn't.
