when it comes to crosses given is way above anyone else - VDS and especially buffon are very suspect at cross - cant remember the last time pepe had a problem with a cross that caused major problems - and as for shot stopping my god can you not remember those world class saves beginning of season that kept us in games .

cech since his injury flaps very badly at crosses and is slow of his line but still top class in shot stopping

Frey is awful at crosses but very very agile and great shot stopping .

Cesar is solid all round but his desicion making at times is suspect . Solid for Inter but has made a lot of errors for Brazil

For me Casillas is the number one in the world - only department anyone is better than him is pepes distribution . Then i would have pepe just ahead of buffon . VDS for me is way below the lot - made far too many howlers over the years now .

Ok so it seems this rumor was started by some fella called chunkz. And someone on RAWK posted this about him..

Done a search on Chunkz and he was first to say before anybody
1.Torres on his way to Liverpool.
2.Masch to sign from west ham
3.We are in the race to get Tevez
4.Rafa to replace Houllier
5.Parry to leave.
6.Moores to sell to Hicks and Gillett.
7.Elvis is alive

yeh i agree if we sell masch then we will be but other wise we dont have the money. Weve got money from keane plus a little kitty from the board. For us to buy silva, villa and johnson we would have to sell masch, arby and then, if the source has it right, riera. Ok if we do that then fair enough i just cant see it, we never get 3big names like that.
I cannot wait 2see how this pans out but i always end up being disapointed after such big deals are banded around. Jusr trying to keep my feet on the ground.

Maybe with the new refinance deal money has been made available to buy these big players - not ideal thou or a new invester has been found who has piled money in . None of us know the exact budget and it could we be enough to buy these players

Mate not trying to sound rude but what the :censored:

do you know or me or anyone here for that matter. With the exception of a few who know things from high ups we all just go by whats in the rags anyway. I don't think any of us would have seen us getting Torres or Masch so have a little faith.

We know with this new RBS deal there will be a bigger kitty for transfers. In a way all that doom and gloom news probably done us some good as it made people think we have no money to spend. The only downside is we now have clubs chasing our players but Rafa will sort that.

Yes i was Good Yank - Rafa has been very quiet and has kept his cards close to his chest with regards players - he has said no one is for sale that is a key squad member and recently signed a new contract - for me that points to a positive budget

Me to Reg, me too. You know id love it if we signed just one of those players let alone both because I can feel we are so close to knocking those mancs out of the way. We just need some sort of big signing and I know we can win the league next year.

this plus Toure and the rest into David Villa, easy. See on SSN they've just said Villa's decided where he wants to be next season but didnt say which club. Maybe Torres, Peps and Alonso have done the business and convinced him its us
