People talk about how good there fans are...what they are forgetting as that they are a one city club so they will invariably get decent support.

These so called great fans boo'd there own players and manager at the start of this season and got Allardyce the sack.
Granted big sam is a c'nt but he is a decent manager that would have made them a top 8 club given time.
So its there own fault.

The only bad thing for me is that we are guaranteed three points off them home and away every season.

Boro on the other hand is always a place were we drop points so thats no big deal.
I am sure Rafa will be happy to see the back of them, they are a bit of a bogey team at the riverside.

Dead right from start to finish. :nod

Well you could say Boro have been replaced with another bogey team for us - Stoke.

No mate, as Stoke are already in the premiership, they have been replaced by wolves birmingham and whoever wins later.

Dont know whether Stoke are a bogey team yet anyway, we will see this season.

We had a consistently poor recent record away at Boro though.

er, not really!

Sam Allardyce got sacked in the 07-08 season and Keegan resigned at the start of this past season because of differences with the transfer structuring withi the club (ie. Dennis Wise is a clueless c*nt who was making all the decisions )

Ha fair play to ye mate.

Anyway despite getting the dates totally wrong - even the season  they still didnt get behind the manager.

I dont think they are good fans at all, they may turn up in there droves and be loud at times, but they are quick to get on the players backs.

They demand success and dont deserve it imo.

Yeah I was surprised by that.

No tears shed to see the barcodes go down, like bad tasting medecine it will do them good. Sort themselves out, cut the squad, salaries, reorganise and come back in 2-3 years blaze of plastic glory. If they come straight back up then it wont have been long enough to make the necessary changes.

Who honestly gives a mickey mouse about Middlesboro?

The teams that went down deserved to.  I thought Newcastle would get out of it at Hull's expense, but they lost their last two games and can only blame themselves.  Even one point out of those two games would have saved them on goal difference.

Can't be too many times a team has survived on 35 points like Hull have.  Just shows how low the standard was at the wrong end of the table this season.

in all fairness though they've had a decent run considering the size of the town. the writing was always on the wall this year though as southgate was quite clearly told to reduce the wage bill. they've also replaced the players they've let go with inferior ones. i just don't see them bouncing back but nevertheless i'll still probably go to a few games next season when liverpool are playing on a sunday or something.

as for newcastle, good riddance. hope they do a leeds.  :D

Mate, Wolves are gonna go straight back down. Thoroughly shyte side with average footballers at best. Dunno why but I've been keeping tabs on them over the season, partly because of the McCarthy link, and a couple of no-marks who between them have had a couple of (admittedly shyte) games for Ireland.
